- Worked with UK clients on Demand Forecasting System (DFS) and Renewable Gas Forecast System (RGFS) project, where we integrated forecasts from 3rd party vendors. Processed forecasts for both half-hourly and non-half-hourly periods, supplying generated forecasts to traders for strategic trading. Additionally, analyzed forecast data to estimate the system's electricity consumption across various segments.
- Proactive Batch Management: Created PL/SQL scripts for real-time monitoring of 24/7 batch processes, with built-in mechanisms for automatic failure alerts and rescheduling in the event of temporary issues. This automation eliminated the need for manual status checks and scheduling, enhancing operational efficiency.
- Health Check Report Automation: Developed a Unix script to generate health check reports for critical overnight batches and essential files. Scheduled the script using Control-M to monitor batch status and file counts. Utilized these reports to take immediate action on data discrepancies before business issues were reported, ensuring proactive problem resolution.
- Integrated Data Handling & Monitoring: Developed and deployed a data pipeline with AWS API Gateway for fetching vendor data, and Lambda functions scheduled via EventBridge every 30 minutes. Used Python for Lambda functions to create and store CSV files in Amazon S3, then loaded the data into a PostgreSQL database. Implemented error tracking with CloudWatch and set up SNS notifications for failure alerts. Coordinated with the Boomi team for data integration into the DFS system and further processing in an Oracle DB.
- Incident Resolution & Business Coordination: Acted as the primary SME, focusing on the swift resolution of high-priority incidents. Ensured effective coordination with business stakeholders to prevent escalations and maintain uninterrupted project flow and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Supported day-to-day operations, ranging from reporting and troubleshooting user-reported issues to active incident management and performance tuning of the application.
- Effective New Joiner Integration: Provided detailed knowledge transfer and training to new employees, equipping them with the necessary understanding of project operations, tools, and best practices.
