HPCL-RUF Project, Visakhapatnam:

• Responsible for delivering the project in line with the contract documents. Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. Release Engineering DCIs, approval of the supplier’s VDR, material delivery at the site, installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
• Electrical Area Manager for RUF Area. Substation (SS-84) Electrical Installations, Testing, and Commissioning for 66 kV GIS, 66 kV/11 kV power transformers, 11 kV capacitor bank, HV/MV bus ducts (1,200 A to 4,000 A), solar rooftop power plant (155 kW), lighting transformers, UPS 250 kVA, and battery charger. Cathodic Protection for Underground Vessels and Pipelines. Electrical Bulk Items – Lighting DBs/Panels, Cables, Cable Glands, and Lighting Fixtures.
• To resolve the engineering-related issues and design-related problems.
• Organizing the vendor for commissioning activities for the package.
• To arrange the material that is faulty or missing from the packing list, coordinate with the vendor and SCM to arrange the material.

• Supervision of ongoing site activities for the electrical substation, as well as field (SRU unit) related work, viz., installation/erection of electrical substation equipment (like transformers, HT and LT switchboards, VFDs, UPS systems, DC chargers, bus ducts, FA/PA systems, lighting, earthing, etc.), electrical equipment testing, etc.
• Majorly responsible for client and PMC queries, addressing electrical site contractor’s and vendor queries during the execution stage (i.e., during electrical equipment installation, testing, and pre-commissioning stage), and coordinating between the site and design engineering team. Facilitating day-to-day site activities with respect to electrical work, and providing resolution to site issues.
• Power System Studies, Relay Coordination Study, Layout Checking, Resolution to Site Queries, Vendor Document Checking (VDB Red Lining).
• Preparing MR for electrical items, cathodic protection, TQs, TBA/TBE, PR preparation, electrical load analysis, motor list, electrical interconnection schedule, transformer sizing calculations, DC load profile calculation, etc.
• Schedule the work in accordance with the project milestone.
• Ensuring all electrical construction work complies with drawings and specifications.
• The knowledge and expertise to carry out modifications according to your specific requirements.

• Preparation of Electrical Cable Schedules, Electrical Interconnection Schedules, Checking of Lighting Layouts, Earthing & Lightning Protection Layout, meetings with Client, Site visit to address site queries, etc
• Design electrical distribution system (HT, ELV, EXLV) for any given project both externally (Infrastructure design works) and internally
• Establishing and enforcing construction, manufacturing and installation standards codes
• Maintaining a clear and workable relationship among a web of people that may include the client, architect, other project consultants, contractor, Suppliers and Authority/Regulatory bodies
• I have extensive knowledge in the areas of programmable logics and IEC 61850 configuration
• Support Provide for relay file modification

• Testing and commissioning of Relays of various manufacturer such as ABB, Siemens, Schneider, & Alstom
• Testing and commissioning of all electrical equipment from 415 volts to 33 kV systems
• Experience with Over current and Earth fault relays (Directional and Non-Directional) Differential Protection Relay
• Overload Relays, Thermal Overload Relays, Check Synchronizing Relay, Deadline/Bus Charging Relay, Under Voltage, Over Voltage Relay
• Knowledge of Transformer protection (Transformer differential protection & REF protection), Bus Bar protection, Synchronizing Scheme
• Testing and commissioning of circuit breakers like ACB, VCB circuit breaker from 415V to 33 KV
• Skilled in all types of schemes checking such as HT & LT panel scheme checking Interlock checking, Transformer protection scheme, Motor protection scheme, Differential schemes, Stability schemes and other control circuit schemes with various systems

• Testing and Commissioning of ABB make relays are REF615, REM615, RET615, REU615 & configuration modified as customer requirement

• Testing Micom relays like, P141, P142, P143, P241, P543, and P642
• Auto change over Scheme checking and interlocking as per Switchgears
• Electromechanical Relays and Auxiliary’s Relays
• Scheme checking of HT incomer, bus coupler and outgoing feeders

• Testing of ABB REF620, RET615, RED615, REU620 Relay 33KV CRP Panel Scheme checking & Scheme checking of HT incomer outgoing feeders

• Testing of 6.6KV Switchgears and equipment’s like CT, PT, 33KV/6.6KV, 11KV/3.3KV, 3.3KV/415V power transformers, VCB Breaker, Scheme checking and interlocking as per Switchgears
