➔ Install, configure, and maintains Linux OS servers.

➔ Booting issues troubleshooting

➔ Connectivity troubleshooting

➔ Additional Responsibility:

➔ Provided 24/7 support for web and client-based applications, file and data feeds and batch processes to prevent impact to business.

➔ Looking continuously for upgrading the environment PRODUCT Suite as per needs and end-of-support.

➔ Managing the maintenance and proper functioning of NetBackup Master, Media Servers (NBU Appliance), Tape Library.

➔ Creation, assignation, approvals & performance of changes as per the user request for every Non-Prod or Prod activity Working closely with Linux and Oracle SQL Database Teams and debugging complex issues related to the OS and Database respectively.

➔ Managing the maintenance & troubleshooting of the all the alerts generated from the Ops Centre & Media Servers.

➔ Maintaining proper health for the TIER 1 DB, EXPORT & FS backups.

Role: SME.

➔ Monitoring and maintenance of the Ops Center & Media Servers alert generation for ST, DEV, PROD & DR environment.

➔ Actively working with the team on Upgrade of NetBackup on the Media servers, Clients. Managing the maintenance of the Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Monthly Backup reports and presentation.

➔ Working on upscaling the performance of the NetBackup Media servers, Tape Library enhanced performance.

• Experience on RHEL 7/8/9 implementation, administration & maintenance
• Ensure daily health checks are performed for the concerned systems
• Ensure monitoring alerts are detected promptly and satisfactorily resolved
• Ensure to work on tickets on priority whether it is system generated or user created
• Ensure all emails sent to the team distribution list are responded to in a timely manner
• Ensure Linux platforms are highly available, reliable, secure and performant
• Installation, configuration, tuning, upgrades, and general maintenance activities
• Provide technical support to application support and development teams
• Provide consultancy to application support and development teams
• Performing hardware replacement activity with vendor IBM, Lenovo, HP & Dell
• Ensure all operational procedures are kept current and accurate
• Participate in On-Call rotation, triaging, and addressing production issues as they arise
• Troubleshooting Linux, User and Group management,
• Analyzing and Rectifying Login and Booting Issues
• Configuring crontab and scheduling the jobs
• Good understanding of error logging subsystem
• Hands on experience with ticketing tools such as BMC Remedy, CA Service, SNOW,CyberArk,HPSA,HPSM,GSD
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently as well as team member.
