- Study of SOR, Voice of Customer, and System to be designed based on regulations like FMVSS, ECE, and IS.
- Preparation for E-BOM: Based on available variants, try to keep the maximum number of child parts to carry over.
- Preparation for PRE-Tech Review, consolidated study on design factors, and RFQ for awarded projects.
- Good knowledge in 3D modeling, 2D drawing, and assembly.
- DFMEA, APQP, and DV prepared for new projects and gate entry review to be created.
- Based on the customer timeline, the design will be fixed, and all drawings will be released through PLM.
- The project required extensive collaboration with cross-functional teams, particularly the stress analysis department, to validate structural safety, and optimize designs before production.
- Close monitoring of the in-house production engineering team for tooling kick-off and line readiness for PPAP and SOP.
- Based on the customer timeline, the initial design prototype will be conducted, and the open issues will be recorded. A meeting will be conducted with CFT teams to resolve them. DVP will be conducted at the bench level (R&V) and vehicle level.
- Based on DVPR test results, a meeting should frequently be conducted with the customer if there are any design changes, such as packaging constraints, product size, weight of the product, and so on.
- During the development stage, vehicle-level conduct at the customer end is necessary to identify the major issues.
- Global Product Transfer activates and creates master drawings for all other regions, such as China, Korea, Mexico, and America, and imports raw materials to localization (LP) with equivalent grades.
- Creating documentation on the Supplier Manufacturing Process, materials, and creating design standards according to product requirements to make it easy for newcomers.
- Creating a lesson learned and conducting meetings to design teams for knowledge transfer.
- Regarding quality issues, frequently visiting supplier lines to observe the challenges they face and overcoming them through team effort along with the suppliers' team.
- Weekly meetings with the CTO, HOD, and HOT regarding the project timeline and updating the current project status.
