Day-to-day Poultry farm Broilers & Breeder Productions operations on a poultry farm primarily involve checking the health of the birds, ensuring proper feeding and watering, maintaining cleanliness, monitoring environmental conditions like temperature and ventilation, collecting eggs (if applicable), and keeping a watchful eye for any signs of disease, all while adhering to strict biosecurity measures.
· Breeder farm to ensure optimal flock health, productivity, and welfare.
· Supervise and support farm staff, including planning, prioritising, and delegating workload.
· Operate farm machinery, plant, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
· Monitor feed and water systems, and oversee accurate and timely bird collection.
· Carry out daily shed maintenance and grounds servicing.
· Conduct weekly bird weigh-ins and maintain accurate records.
· Liaise with and supervise contract crews for vaccination and grading.
· Monitor and report on animal welfare, flock performance, and production quality.
· Respond to on-site alarms, including after-hours callouts.
· Ensure compliance with WH&S policies and procedures.
· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to increase farm efficiency, sustainability, and profitability.
