Driver drowsiness monitoring system using visual behavior and machine learning techniques. (11/2023-12/2023)

• Visual features detect driver drowsiness in real-time. FLDA and SVM outperform Bayesian classifier. SVM shows highest sensitivity at 0.956. FLDA and SVM both achieve perfect specificity. Future work aims to implement FLDA and SVM for online detection. A portable hardware version will be developed. A pilot study will validate the system with real drivers.

Predicting hourly boarding demand of bus passengers using imbalanced records from smart cards A deep learning approach, (05/2024-06/2024)

• This project addresses data imbalance in public transport systems by proposing a Deep-GAN approach to oversimple traveling instances, improving the prediction of individual boarding behavior and demonstrating superior performance compared to other resampling methods, ultimately aiming to enhance public transport planning and management.
