Access Manager & Identity Gateway – SRE / BAU Responsibilities

• Deployed and operated ForgeRock Access Manager and Identity Gateway on Kubernetes, handling pod lifecycle issues, crashes, restarts, and scaling events.
• Implemented and monitored health checks (liveness and readiness probes) for Access Manager and Identity Gateway to ensure traffic was routed only to healthy instances.
• Troubleshot Identity Gateway deployment issues, including route configuration errors, token validation failures, and pod startup failures.
• Supported BAU operations for Tomcat-based JVM applications, managing application deployments, restarts, and production health checks.
• Handled JAR deployments and build-related issues, coordinating with CI/CD pipelines to resolve packaging, dependency, and runtime failures.
• Performed JVM monitoring and tuning (heap, GC, thread usage) to resolve performance and stability issues in production environments.
• Maintained and supported WebLogic Server environments, performing application deployments, server maintenance, and post-deployment health validation.

• Managed Access Manager certificate changes and renewals, including keystore updates, certificate rotation, and validation across environments to prevent authentication outages.

• Orchestrated Docker images for a Node.js application using multi-stage Dockerfile. Reduced image size by including only essential components, resulting in faster deployments and improved efficiency across pods.
• Leveraged Terraform for infrastructure provisioning, reducing manual efforts and ensuring infrastructure consistency across development, staging, and production environments.
• Created Kubernetes manifests for a microservices architecture. Configured Services and Ingress to expose services externally, enhancing accessibility. Managed NodePort to balance external traffic efficiently across pods.
• Implemented Horizontal Pod Autoscaling (HPA) for a high-traffic API service. Utilized CPU resource metrics to dynamically adjust the number of replicas, ensuring optimal performance during peak usage.
• Utilized ReplicaSet and Deployment strategies to maintain desired pod counts and update application versions seamlessly. Managed rolling updates to minimize downtime and ensure.
