- Responsible for the Procurement of all Mahle locations in India. Activity involves 120+ suppliers for procurement at 4 different locations.
- Material Management of 60-70 suppliers + Managing Custom Bonded Warehouse (Consignment Warehouse)
- Arranging Pick up of shipments through nominated Freight Forwarder according to Incoterms responsibilities.
- Closely monitoring of all Import consignments with freight forwarders and ensure custom clearance on time.
- Negotiated contracts with outside service providers to minimize the cost to the company and customers.
- Provide short and long term material projections to vendors. Execute phase in/out strategies for promotional activities and product discontinuations.
- Coordinate effective replenishment strategies, Controlling and monitoring stock levels to achieve sales, Inventory and logistic goals
- Responsible for development of short-term procurement strategies based on timely analysis & its implementation within time frame.
- Responsible for Material master data and Logistics key indicators (such as Backlog orders, Exceptions in planning).
- Responsible for scheduling, schedule adherence of suppliers, ASN Performance, Web EDI integration of new parts as well as for new suppliers
- Responsible to monitor performance of CHA and Freight forwarders.
- Resolved complex issues regarding material handling, mail distribution and inventory control, to increase profits.
- Revised production schedules to meet dynamic conditions such as supply shortages and backlogs.
- Managed production levels, identified material shortages and monitored inventory levels to meet order delivery requirements.
- Checking for stocks in transit that all the GIT’s are closed in least TAT (turnaround time).
- Setting inventory norms for each stocking point for all Import Parts
- Tracking of inventory aging at locations, and ensure that the least amount of stocks are discarded due to Expiry & damages.
