Multi-class Sentiment Analysis on Twitter | September 2020
- Social media platforms are hubs for sharing thoughts and opinions on current events and occasions. Sentiment analysis organizes and categorizes this data based on emotions.
- Research is focusing on binary and ternary classifications but struggles with slang and complex emotions. A deeper classification approach is needed for accurate analysis.
- Multi-class sentiment classification is challenging due to language complexity. This paper proposes a model for multi-class classification of Twitter posts, addressing slang and hashtags, achieving 45.19% accuracy on the "text emotion" dataset and 82.07% on the "Consumer complaint" dataset.
