SCOPE OF WORK: It is expected that the proposed team of consultants will work closely with concerned Officials working on behalf of SWSM and DWSM as the case may be for performance improvement activities related to JJM and SBM(G) as and where required to be carried out by the Consultant shall include, but not limited to: -

STP Process: Activated sludge process (ASP Technology)

  • Collecting sewage from domestic and industrial (liquid waste) by pipeline networking to the plant.
  • Screening-Large particles removing.
  • Grit – To separate the grit, oil & grease removal process.
  • Primary Treatment- The Settled and floating materials are removed.
  • Aeration Process - Dissolved oxygen promotes the growth of biological flock, which substantially removes organic material.
  • Secondary Treatment- Substantially degrade the biological content of the sewage.
  • Chlorination tank- Chlorination is a water that destroys disease-causing bacteria, nuisance bacteria parasites and other organisms and also oxidizes iron, manganese and hydrogen sulfide so they can be filtered out.
  • Treated water- Treated water will be disposed to directly to river or store for agriculture proposed.
  • Digester – The process produces digester Gas from decomposing sewage sludge from Primary Treatment, Secondary treatment.
  • Sludge- Collecting sludge from digester will be stored on sludge bed & it can be used for agriculture proposed for fertilizer.

  • Collection Faecal sludge is captured in a toilet transported to a FSTP via UGDs Vehicle.
  • Faecal Sludge is stored in containment systems like pits and septictanks to prevent contamination of the local environment.
  • Transportation the Septage or faecal sludge generated from septic tanks and pits are de-sludges through cesspool trucks commonly as vacuum trucks. Faecal sludge needs to be safely emptied and transported to a disposal point or to a treatment plant.
  • Treatment technology proposed involves screen and drying in sludge drying beds thereby dewatering the sludge.
  • The percolate water is then treated with anaerobic baffled reactor (ABR) technology, planted gravel filter bed (PGFB), polish pond & finally through pressure sand filter(PSF), activate carbon filter(ACF) and Ozonation to get the desired result.
  • The by products such as bio solids can be reused in agriculture as soil conditioners and treated water can be used for irrigation or daily requirement for landfill nearby.
