HEAD EHS & ESG
- Develop and Implement EHS Policies: Formulate, update and enforce comprehensive EHS policies and procedures aligned with local, national and international regulations to ensure workplace safety and environmental protection.
- Compliance Management: Ensure strict compliance with all applicable environmental, health and safety laws and standards. Monitor regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
- Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification: Conduct regular risk assessments and workplace inspections to identify potential hazards related to machinery, processes, and work methods. Implement mitigation strategies to eliminate or minimize risks.
- Safety Audits and Incident Investigations: Lead periodic safety audits and thorough investigations of accidents, incidents and near misses. Develop corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
- Training and Awareness: Design and deliver EHS training programs to employees and contractors to foster a culture of safety awareness and compliance throughout the organization.
- Emergency Preparedness: Develop, coordinate, and conduct emergency response plans, drills, and evacuation procedures to ensure preparedness for any incidents.
- Environmental Management: Oversee initiatives such as waste management, pollution control, resource conservation and sustainability practices to reduce the company’s environmental footprint.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of EHS activities, incidents, training, audits, and compliance reports. Prepare and present reports to senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with external auditors during inspections and compliance reviews.
- Contractor and Vendor Safety Management: Ensure that contractors and suppliers comply with the company’s EHS standards and regulatory requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor EHS performance metrics, analyze trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety and environmental performance.
- ESG Strategy Development: Lead the development and execution of the company’s ESG strategy, aligning it with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
- Data Collection and Reporting: Manage ESG data collection processes, including environmental metrics (energy, water, waste), social indicators (employee welfare, community engagement) and governance practices. Ensure accurate, timely reporting aligned with frameworks such as BRSR, GRI, or other relevant standards.
- Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions Management: Develop and implement protocols for measuring, tracking, and reducing GHG emissions in compliance with industry standards.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Identify, recommend, and manage eco-friendly projects and sustainability programs that enhance the company’s environmental and social impact.
- Benchmarking and Best Practices: Conduct benchmarking against industry peers and global best practices to continuously improve ESG performance.
- Stakeholder Communication: Prepare ESG disclosures and reports for internal and external stakeholders, including investors, customers, and regulatory bodies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with departments such as operations, procurement, supply chain, and communications to integrate ESG principles into business processes.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess ESG-related risks, including environmental, social, and governance factors, and develop mitigation strategies to protect the company’s reputation and financial performance.
- Regulatory and Policy Monitoring: Stay updated on evolving ESG regulations and standards to ensure ongoing compliance and leadership in sustainability.
- Leadership and Advocacy: Serve as the primary point of contact for ESG-related inquiries, advocate for sustainability within the organization, and represent the company in ESG forums and industry groups.
- Award Recognition: Leverage achievements and awards in EHS and ESG to inspire teams, reinforce a culture of excellence, and demonstrate the company’s commitment to responsible business practices.
- Budget and Resource Management: Oversee budget allocation for EHS and ESG initiatives, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising on safety or sustainability.
- Continuous Learning and Development: Keep abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in EHS and ESG domains to drive innovation and maintain leadership.
