Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate with Tool Design Vendors & Manufacturing to provide requirements & resolve queries.
• Co-ordinate with ME for clarification of tool orders & engineering queries or process queries.
• Co-ordinate with Tooling quality for review of designs & resolution of queries .
• Studies specifications , engineering blueprints, tool orders and shop data and confers with engineering and shop personnel to resolve design problems related to material characteristics, dimensional tolerances, service requirements, manufacturing procedures and cost.
• Check the tool design for manufacturing feasibility , Confirm the tool design meets engineering drawing requirements, Evaluate overall tool design for functionality
• Review and resolve tool issues identified during usage of tool if tool is not building a satisfactory component, Study the program master tooling and incorporate their requirements into the designs at the time of reviewing.
• Job allocation , review and closure.
• Supporting the team for on job guidance
• Analyze and review the input data to review the tool design.
• Review of concept tool design to meet tool order requirements.
• Review of final tool design before release to tooling configuration for fabrication.
• Support for tool manufacturing installation and prove out.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Understand & review the customer requirements or inputs to create complete Cad model or tool/fixture design using Creo parametric 7.0 as per JDV Standard & Sub-assembly system.
• Create/modify complex tool design (concepts & modelling) & create 2D Drawings of mechanical components for manufacturing purpose.
• Cad Data or non-Cad data management using Wind-chill (PDM) link.
• Design robust cad model using best method & practice in Creo 7.0.
• Review cad models or concepts design & Cad Drawings (2D drawings) using Creo & creo view to verify design changes for manufacturing and assembly.
• Use of GD&T to produce quality drawing for manufacturing.

• Make Gun Study welding fixtures & Grippers.
• 3D Finish after concept finalize.
• Preparation of 2D drawing as per 3D model & customer standards.
• Quality checking of 2D drawing of colleagues.

Press Tool Development

• Take trials of dies on press to prove out the panels as per requirement.
• Check Static points before trial & dynamic points on press.
• Share trials feedback with assembly teams and take corrective actions for proving parts.
• Check the Panels on checking fixture after trial.
• Prepare PPAP documents.
• Check the Panels on checking fixture after trial.
• Tool (dies) Buy-off with customer.

Roles and Responsibilities: -

Working as Process Planner & Production Control for Fixture & Dies.

• To check the design feasibility of fixture design in terms of manufacturing point of view.
• Co-ordinates with design department, Machine shop & Assembly Shop & release the tools.
• To the design and finalizing machining process for single part as per manufacturing feasibility.
• knowledge of sheet metal dies (Cutting and non-cutting dies).
• Making drawing sketches and optimize process sheet for machine shop, assembly and tool path generation team.
• Co-ordination with dies & fixture Assembly shop, machine shop & out sourcing team for monthly target planning.
• Maintain current status of tool in SAP, Raise a Request in SAP for Material .

Roles and Responsibilities: -

Working as Dies Assembly Engineer.

• Collect input material form PPC as per Bill of Material & handover to supervisor
• Assembly of dies as per design.
• Take Initial tryout before giving to Tryout Department.
• Prepare the dies for tryout.
• Conduct daily meeting with operators for work allocation.
