Roles and Responsibilities-Shift Supervisor

  • Responsible for overall performance of the assigned operating area.
  • Monitoring and ensuring safe and efficient operation of all processes, systems, and equipment in the area of responsibility.
  • Routine checking, endorsing the daily shift log sheets/ log book entries and ensuring safe custody of records.
  • Monitoring routine sampling and analysis, ensuring the results are within the quality parameters, and adjusting as required.

  • Checking the annulus pressure of individual wells for communication between annulus for the casing.
  • Monitoring the well head safety conditions and coordinating with the CWI team, wire line crew for jobs such as work over, static survey, build-up survey, acid stimulation job, well kill job & etc.
  • Periodically monitoring the work activities and ensuring in compliance with Safe Work Permit procedures.
  • Final inspection at the completion of maintenance works and ensuring all works completed satisfactorily.
  • Supervising the test run of the equipment back from maintenance and ensuring the safe return for operation.
  • Assisting the Management in consistent with Emergency Response Procedures of any emergency situation that may arise and performing designated tasks in the Emergency Response Team.

Roles and Responsibilities-Commissioning/Start Up Team

  • Doing complete plant pre-start up checks to ensure all plugs and cups are in place, before re-introduction of hydrocarbons, supervising removal of all maintenance spades and ensuring process spades are in place before official handover from engineering maintenance teams, Steaming out and air freeing plant equipment before re- introduction of Hydrocarbons.
  • Proceeding with hydrocarbon gas introduction and subsequently crude circulation and actual startup of all the units as per the written down, (after major maintenance shutdown start up procedures), carefully observing every step for a complete safe cold startup- (this done in conjunction with the engineering/ instruments start up support crew for any further adjustments that may be required.
  • Ensuring every equipment performance is up to date and all products are on grade before officially handing over the plant to the normal operations shift teams.
  • During Commissioning and Start-up time working closely with the Contractors, Vendors, National work forces and outside operators such as Pipe, vessel, Compressor and Pumps Installation Check, Functional analysis, Functional test, Operational test, Control loop checking and vice versa.
  • Excellent knowledge in P&ID’s, PFD’s, C&E’s and all type of vendor drawings and instruction.
  • Punch list Preparation and Procedure writing for plant Start-up, Equipment Purging, Cleaning and Vessel Entry and providing marked P&ID’s.
  • During major maintenance shutdowns
  • Hydrocarbon freeing by water washing, and gas freeing by nitrogen gas purging or steaming out of plant before major shutdown maintenance activities commence.
  • As a safety advisor and auditor, supervising for safety during major equipment maintenance works to ensure incident free work place by closely monitoring maintenance activities for observance of all safe working procedures as stated in the work permits, proper use of personal protective equipment, appropriate use of the right tools for different jobs.
  • In conjunction with our engineering and technology departments closely monitoring maintenance activities like proper column tray arrangement, Punch listing after box up of all plant equipment to ensure proper bolt tensioning of flanged joints and use of correct gaskets etc.
