Project: SDM (Strategic Debt Manager)
I am currently working as an engineering lead and data designer for one of the cloud migration projects for the Collection & Recovery domain. This domain is mainly categorized into four products, and it is currently running on an old legacy system. My team and I are building a strategic solution for two of the products. With this strategic platform, all these legacy platforms will be merged in SDM. However, this is not mere application migration; while doing so, the business will look to revisit the requirements and try to optimize them, as well as bring a customer-level view for collections and recoveries processes.
The Technical Aspect :
Through the dual hydration process, we ingest the source data to the raw layer, and then to the base layer on the Cloud. Post tokenization, detokenization, and transformation, data gets loaded via Glue jobs to the S3 bucket, and through Athena, data is consumed in the FDP (Foundational Data Product). In BDP (Business Data Product), data consumed through Snowflake. Currently, data consumption through Iceberg is in progress. For scheduling, we use Astronomer. For reference table data load, we use the SDH tool (Strategic Data Hub). Data lineage is maintained in Alation. To bring the data producers and data consumers together to share data assets across the organization, we use the Marketplace.
Responsibilities: Engineering Lead & Data Designer
Project 2: Debit Card CAMS
CAMS is having multiple unsupported platforms and user-managed reports. The challenging task is to perform an IA and identify the work scope by understanding the existing E2E process of a 10+ year-old legacy system with huge manual dependencies. However, I've gathered the details and prepared a business proposal for PO to review.
Responsiblities: Data Architect
Project 3: Cloud Migration for usecase - COO Dashboard
A dashboard with KPIs across various product lines, channels, and processes is currently published to BUK ExCo to assess the overall performance. The current implementation of the dashboard is manual, where the data is manually sourced from various sources across the BUK warehouse, including user-managed data. The goal is to build this dashboard on the strategic enterprise data platform (EDP).
