Project: Dollar General.

• Dollar General is a major retail chain in the U.S. Undergoing a digital transformation by moving its legacy, monolithic systems to modern, cloud-based infrastructure. As part of this initiative, the focus was on migrating key business modules, like Coupons and Cashback, from Oracle databases to MongoDB to improve scalability, performance, and data agility.

Duties Include:

• Contributed to the migration of legacy data from Oracle to MongoDB using the MongoDB Relational Migrator, ensuring data consistency and integrity.
• Designed and managed MongoDB databases, collections, and indexes to support the new microservices-based architecture.
• Developed aggregation pipelines using MongoDB operators such as $set and $merge for efficient post-migration data transformation.
• Assisted in optimizing SQL queries and translating legacy schemas to NoSQL models for application compatibility.
• Interacted directly with the DB client to manage developer access needs, including provisioning credentials, and resolving permission issues to unblock development teams.
• Managed environment isolation and access control, ensuring secure and structured access during different phases of development and deployment.

Project: Staples – Warehouse Management System (WMS) & Product Development POC.

• Contributed to enhancing Staples’ data infrastructure by migrating legacy systems to Snowflake, supporting both online and retail operations. I reverse-engineered Python scripts using Pandas and translated them into Snowflake for improved performance and scalability. Played an active role in the SQL to Snowflake migration, ensuring business continuity throughout the transition. Followed Agile methodology and managed tasks through Jira. Delivered data-driven insights using Power BI dashboards for better reporting.
• Additionally, I led a Proof of Concept (POC) initiative to guide future product development. Mentored junior team members to strengthen coding practices, and collaborated on database development using Oracle PL/SQL and stored procedures.

Project: Vocalink Pay by Bank App (PbBa):

• I played a pivotal role in the development and successful delivery of this innovative solution that integrates mobile banking into online shopping. This project revolutionized the consumer buying experience by providing a seamless and secure payment method directly from the user's bank account, placing mobile banking at the forefront of online transactions. My responsibilities spanned across various aspects of the project, including providing technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship, gaining hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL and stored procedures, and using agile methodology to plan and track projects using the JIRA/ALM tool. I showcased proficiency with SVN and GIT for version control, actively participated in deployment activities using Bitbucket and Jenkins, and utilized SonarQube to analyze and improve code quality. I also configured Flyway to create databases and handle version migrations for specific project requirements.

Project: Scorecard Engine.

• A system designed to compute LTE RTB scorecards. This innovative project involved selecting data from raw PM interface tables and inserting it into aggregate tables at hourly, daily, and weekly intervals. Scorecard Engine, while primarily used for scorecard data, is a general-purpose SQL execution engine compatible with any JDBC 7-supported database, including Oracle, Vertica, Teradata, MS-SQL, and Postgres. My role encompassed a wide range of responsibilities, including daily job monitoring, attending operation and client calls, managing Irack tickets within given timelines, handling code changes and deployments, and participating in the migration from Vertica to Snowflake. I also managed and mentored team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. My leadership skills were demonstrated through effective communication, problem-solving, technical expertise, and client management. This experience has equipped me with a diverse skill set and a comprehensive understanding of project management in a technical environment.

Project: Avaya Enterprise Solution Development.

• I was instrumental in the development of a new store for the EMEA location. This project, related to Store Front, involved the flow of quote creation, promotion, adding to cart, and processing for users who might be sellers or distributors falling under Tier 1 or Tier 1 N2. My responsibilities were multifaceted and included understanding business requirements for change, conducting impact analysis of functional changes required in existing systems, and interacting with clients on change-related matters. I was hands-on with PL/SQL's various kinds of objects, developing requirements, and testing them. I was available with the client during deployment and looked into defects in production. As Tech Lead, I also led and mentored team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Project: Team formation and support to the team technically.

• During this period, I was not assigned to a specific project due to the organization's focus on recruiting more relevant candidates. However, this time was productively utilized in several key areas. I was involved in a PoC with the team, providing technical support and sharing my expertise. This allowed me to contribute to the team's learning and growth, and also helped in validating new ideas and solutions. Additionally, I served as a panelist in technical drives aimed at team formation. This role enabled me to leverage my technical knowledge and understanding of the team's needs to help identify and onboard suitable candidates. This experience has further honed my technical and leadership skills, preparing me for future challenges in a dynamic work environment.

Project 1: DTI.

• I was involved in designing and developing solutions for receiving batch and near real-time data feeds from a variety of data sources. The goal was to provide real-time, low latency, high-quality, transformed, and integrated data to the data fabric layers of the enterprise. My responsibilities included understanding business requirements for change, conducting impact analysis of functional changes, developing new and modifying existing components, and handling unit test cases and testing. I was also involved in QC deployment, release coordination, and production implementation activities. As a leader, I guided my team through these processes, fostering a collaborative environment, and ensuring successful project delivery.

Project 2: K2view Migration

• I played a significant role in migrating key services APIs of the CCR database to the K2view platform. This project involved transforming CCR stored procedures into web services and microservices, which were tightly integrated into the CDP platform of AT&T. The data was organized by logical units of business, with each logical instance treated as a micro-database. Data was migrated from the Oracle database to the Distributed Database (Cassandra) using various parsers and scheduled jobs. My responsibilities included understanding business requirements for change, conducting impact analysis of functional changes, developing microservices and web services in the K2fabric studio tool, and deploying on the Cassandra server. I was also responsible for loading data into Cassandra, creating DB templates, and Graphite to display responses, handling unit test cases, comparator tool testing, XSD comparison, and looking into defects during QC deployment. As Tech Lead, I led and mentored team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Project: Dialer

• As a key contributor to the Dialler project at Capita (Ventura), a UK-based BPO and product company, I worked on the development and support of the Dialler and Aida products. The project involved providing services to Capita's clients in the UK, SA, and other regions. I was introduced to a new tool, 'Syntelate', used for campaigns, which enables agents to call their customers and provide relevant customer details. My responsibilities included analyzing change control provided in Lotus Notes, providing impact analysis, making changes to code or creating scripts, and coding in SQL/PL/SQL. I also provided changes to the DBA in the UK for execution in production. In addition to these responsibilities, I took on the role of grooming junior resources, sharing product knowledge, and cultivating a collaborative learning environment.

Project 1: E-Stores (Dec 2010 - Aug 2013):

• In this supply chain management and business-to-business project, I worked on e-stores for order processing. My responsibilities included analyzing clients' requirements, implementing PLSQL blocks, procedures, and functions, coding, testing, and application support.

Project 2: Kotak (Loan Origination System) (Aug 2013 - Sep 2013):

• I worked on a web-based application used for loan origination. My role involved application enhancements and support activities, implementing, designing, and developing PLSQL blocks, procedures, and functions, as well as coding and testing.

Project 3: GE Money Bank (Oct 2013 - Jan 2014):

• In this project, I was involved in generating reports for GE's various business lines. My responsibilities included analyzing given matrix sheets, understanding French terms related to the database, reporting to the reporting manager for related issues in the mapping sheet, coding in SQL, and preparing technical specifications.

Project 4: Tata Motor Finance (Collection) (Jan 2014 - Jul 2014):

• As a System Analyst, I worked on a project for Tata Motor Finance, focusing on auto loan delinquent accounts. My role involved analyzing functional specifications, coding in SQL/PLSQL, developing CSV reports in the Comq framework, and resolving PA issues.

Project: IRS (Integrated Reporting System)

• I was involved in generating daily, weekly, and monthly regulatory reports for RBI reporting. The system was used to support end users from both the Finance and Operations teams for regulatory purposes. My role was to provide satisfactory onsite support, make necessary modifications or changes in the system and reports, and develop new features as advised by users. My responsibilities included writing stored procedures and SQL queries, updating and modifying old SQL queries based on user requests, and updating and modifying Crystal Reports as per user requirements. I also utilized PL/SQL code, in addition to SQL, for complex database operations, enhancing the functionality and efficiency of the system.
