Roles and responsibilities:

• Modified and maintained CI/CD pipelines: Automated build and deployment processes for non-production and production environments.
• Worked with terraform to create Github repos and teams.
• Supported developers:
  Client-side (Java-related): Assisted with issue resolution and workspace setup.
  Host-side (PLI-related): Provided support for daily activities and troubleshooting.
• Triaged and fixed production issues: Promptly addressed and resolved issues to maintain system stability. This ensured SLAs are adhered to and resulted in better response times.
• Automated creation of S3 buckets, IAM roles etc with CDK.
• Involved in Argo CD maintenance and support to help with deployments.
• Automated server-side processes: Utilized Ansible to streamline operations and improve efficiency. This brought more than 2000 dollars savings in terms of workdays used in setup and troubleshoot.
• Involved in maintaining and troubleshooting issues with host side scripts written in bash and perl for batch side deployment.
• Troubleshooting issues in linux based backend batch environments.
• Developed new features and fixed issues in ADE: Enhanced Java-based development environment used by host developers.
• Migrated Jenkins builds to GitHub actions: Modernized build processes and cloud setup, ensuring robust and scalable infrastructure.

Starbucks - CDX

The project involved managing customer data in production environment including profile information which is stored as well as exported for marketing purposes and their transaction details.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Round the clock monitoring of production systems to identify issues and outages and perform their RCA using various tools like Splunk, Datadog, Apigee etc.
• Designed and implemented better alerting for the system.
• Provided 24/7 on-call support for critical systems, ensuring high availability and rapid issue resolution.
• Ad hoc automation tasks using bash scripting and Jenkins.
• Wrote and updated documentation to outline technical design of various parts of the project.
• Wrote Databricks notebooks to update customer records for auditing purposes and also to gather customer data to derive insights for an enhanced user experience.
• Production systems used Apache Kafka to export customer data to various vendors for marketing purposes. So, did POCs on Kafka to understand the logging and architecture of Kafka to identify issues better and faster.

IK8MP

This was an internal project which was used for provisioning as well as managing the clusters in AWS, Azure and GCP.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Wrote APIs using NodeJs to implement new functionalities.
• Used PostgreSQL to manage database related artifacts.
• Worked with Keycloak to manage user permissions for API access.

SAVI - NEAT

NEAT application is used to track SAVI’s client P&G’s shipments for the African continent.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Worked on APIs incorporating new features for SAVI’s NEAT application.
• Contributed ideas and suggestions in team meetings and delivered updates on deadlines, designs and enhancements.
• Monitored ongoing operation of assigned programs and responded to problems by diagnosing and correcting logic and coding errors.
• Did POC on new features to be implemented (e.g. Spring SAML integration with NEAT) by investigating on the topic and writing sample applications.
• Wrote Liquibase script changes for Database changes.
• Wrote test cases using JUnit.
• Implemented cache invalidation by incorporating Apache Kafka in NEAT.
