• Job profile :
• Responsible for overall test activities carried out in test laboratory including various Electrical, Mechanical, Thermal & Climatic tests as per national & international standards like IEC, UL, CSA, BS and ATEX as well as customer specific standards
• Involvement in customer specific standard development and contributing in National Standard formation as a BIS Alternate Member of Electrotechnical Committee
• Involvement in development of new products including determining product specification as per international standards
• Managing Test Lab activities as per requirements of international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005
• Handling certification and witness testing projects for international approvals like CE, UL, cUL, CSA and ATEX & Liaising with certification bodies like TUV, UL India, CSA, DNV and external testing agencies like ERDA, EQDC for matter related to testing, calibration, and approvals
• Check feasibility of engineering modification of products
• As Lab In-charge, conducting technical training programmes on products and various standards
• Contributing in technical publications and product catalogues
• Participating in all internal audits of QMS (ISO 9001:2008) & EMS (ISO 14001:2004) conducted every six months in Elmex group of companies

• Type Testing of various HT switchgear products (such as HT panels, Air break Switches, Isolators, HT breakers etc.) as per relevant national (IS) and international standards (IEC)
• Responsible for Report preparation and checking of reports for evaluation, certification for BIS, ASTA and CB Scheme
• Also responsible for the technical discussion with customer and carrying out job up to satisfaction of the customer during witness testing
• Exposure to the witness testing at client’s premises-The companies visited are ABB Ltd and Jyoti Limited
• Testing in witness of the foreign customer’s and also in witness of the auditors from the different foreign accreditation agencies such as ASTA-BEAB & CB auditors
• IP testing of various products such as Motors, RTCC, Distribution Box, Panels, Marshalling Box, etc
• As per relevant national (IS), international standards (IEC), UL standards.
