I once encountered a hungry kitten, and that moment changed everything. I adopted him, and as he grew to love me, my heart expanded. Soon, I found myself feeding more cats, then dogs—first from the comfort of my home, and eventually, out on the streets.
Loss struck when my own cats and family dogs passed away. The pain was profound, and I made a decision: I wouldn’t own pets, but I somehow began to feed the strays. It’s been four years now, and during this time, I’ve come to understand them deeply. I’ve witnessed their silent hunger and their unspoken pain.
The streets held both beauty and cruelty. People chased these animals with sticks, splashed water to drive them away, and sometimes even expelled them from parks and alleys. My heart couldn’t bear it. So, I began medical treatment—connecting with NGOs, arranging pick-ups and drop-offs for their care. All this, without anyone’s support. Sometimes, even Google has helped me find the right organizations.
I’ve sterilized over 20 dogs and 8 cats, and I continue to feed around 25 dogs and 8 cats and continuing this work. You’ll often find me carrying dog and cat food in my bag because there’s always a chance I’ll encounter a hungry animal.
I resigned from work due to back pain (L4/L5/S1) in October 2022. Physiotherapy has helped, but my purpose has shifted. These animals are now my strength, my therapy, and my motivation to work again. And here I am.
I here by declare that all the above given factors are true and correct to the best of my knowledge.
