• I have expertise in developing and testing the control plane (Layer3-RRC) features of 5G-NR and 4G-LTE Base Station software.
• I have expertise in developing and testing the ORAN F1AP interface management procedures of 5G-NR CU-DU split.
• I have a strong understanding of call flows for both 4G-LTE and 5G-NR in Standalone (SA) and Non-Standalone (NSA) modes.
• I am well-acquainted with 3GPP specifications such as 38.463, 38.473, 38.331, 38.413, 38.423 and 38.401.
• I have practical experience with C language and skilled in code debugging.
• I possess strong understanding of the Linux platform and have experience working on it.
• I visited Paris three times to lead customer project, ensuring smooth integration of our software solutions.
• I have represented Sooktha in various Telecom forums like Indian Mobile Congress (IMC) held at New Delhi, Tech Bharat held in Bengaluru and other small forums for showcasing our software solutions.

I have worked in Sooktha Consulting Pvt Ltd from 1st June 2018 to 29th February 2024, and below are the projects I have involved in working at Sooktha.

1. 5G-NR SA Base Station software Development:

• UE Suspend & Resume feature:
  - Got a good understanding of the RRC Inactive state introduced in 5G-NR and the behavior of UE in RRC Inactive state.
  - Developed RRC Connection suspend and resume procedure in gNB.
  - Involved in designing the call flows for this procedure at module level.
  - Involved in defining and implementing the possible error scenarios during RRC Resume procedure.
  - Involved in unit testing of the feature.
  

• Handover feature:
  - Involved in implementing the XNAP handover procedure in gNB.
  - Involved in designing the inter module call flows at control plane level for RRC, CALLMGR & RRM modules.
  - Involved in defining and implementing the possible error scenarios during handover procedure.
  - Involved in defining the test cases and performing the unit testing of the feature.
  

• Good understanding of Radio Link Failure scenarios.
• Good understanding of UE Cell Reselection procedure.
• I have experience in troubleshooting the issues by analyzing QXDM logs, Wireshark logs and gNB software logs.
• I was part of project planning and was tasked with leading a team of three members. My responsibilities included training them, assigning tasks by providing implementation notes for development and monitoring their progress.

2. 5G-NR CU-DU ORAN interface development:

• Data Model Implementation for CU and DU:
  - Implemented data model involving python test bench interfaces for configuring the IEs.
  - Developed interface definitions for Config IE's within gnbMgr module.
  - Implementation aligns with the 3GPP specification 38.331.

• Involved in implementing the ASN encode and decode functions for F1AP procedures using the stardard ASN.1. files.
• Involved in APP Framework development for 5G-NR CU-DU split project, where the multiple threads will be created, and core assignment will be done.
• Involved in defining the call flows for F1AP interface management procedures.
• Implemented the necessary F1AP interface management procedures.
• I have setup Open Air Interface (OAI) CU software in our lab. I have performed the Inter-Operability test of Sooktha's DU software with OAI CU software.
• Added shell scripts for automating the build, package, binary bring-up and log collection of gNB CU-DU Split base station software.

3. Femto and Macro Base station software testing:

• I gained testing experience of 4G-LTE eNB protocol stack on NXP BSC9132 board (Femto base station) and NXP B4860 board (Macro base station).
• Test Case preparation for 4G-LTE data performance, Stability and Features like VoLTE, S1AP & X2AP Handover, QoS flows.
• I have performed Manual Test Execution, generating test reports, log analysis, reporting bugs to feature owners and monitoring the resolution of bugs.
• I have performed DL & UL data throughput testing on FDD/TDD Bands using various Bandwidhts.
• I have performed SISO & MIMO testing, OTA & OTC testing, Good & Bad radio testing.
• I gained excellent log analysis and debug skills with the help of QXDM logs, Wireshark logs and eNB software logs.
• I have hands-on experience working with different UE simulators like Amarisoft UE, OAI UE.
• Proven track record of collaborating within cross-functional teams and customers , contributing to the overall success of projects through effective communication and problem-solving.
• Showcasing my ability in picking up the necessary skills like understanding the procedures and troubleshooting the issue, I was given the opportunity to implement the control plane features.
