· New Data Solutions and Dashboards Development:
- POA Backlog Report: I designed and implemented a high-impact dashboard for sales directors, VPs, and executives, providing insights into quarterly open backlog trends, weekly shipment volumes, prior day new orders, historical trends of revenue, and shipments quarterly, etc. I also proposed a solution using Power BI as a tool for visualization, to seamlessly embed the report directly into the executives' weekly PowerPoint presentations for improved accessibility and efficiency.
- Community Posts: Built a dashboard for the Marketing team, combining the Salesforce customer community data with the company’s campaign data, only showing the posts of customers who have attended a campaign. With this marketing team, we can now focus on and prioritize the customers to go to.
- Dashboard for Inside Sales and Product Planners: Developed a Tableau dashboard for the Sales Ops team, whose idea is to bring together a dashboard with detailed data on Open Backlog, Shipments, Blocked Orders, and Orders attained for Inside Sales and Product Planners, who speak in different terms.
Migration and Data Source development:
- Handled end-to-end migration of the data source on Tableau in the scope of taking ownership by the Data team from IT. Documented the procedure with all steps followed to help others.
- I built a lighter and aggregated data source for the QBR dashboard. With this, the dashboard's performance has improved significantly, with load time and visual animations being significantly more efficient now.
Optimization of existing workflows and support:
- GitHub Metrics - Supported the GitHub metrics pipeline enhancement, as the workflow was failing, and end users were not seeing the right data for one quarter. Analysed and deployed the fix on production.
- Sales Excel Report Validations - Supported the team in validating Excel report testing from legacy to Azure by leveraging Alteryx data transformation and validation capabilities.
- SSAS Model Migration Validations - Supported in the validation of three SSAS models' migration in plans for legacy server retirement and moving models to Power BI.
Driving assessment of new tools for a growing data team in the sales organization.
- SODA played a crucial role in the PoC of the SODA tool and in creating data quality contracts (agreements) for data governance and data quality control. I conducted a demonstration of the SODA tool for the team, building on the successful PoC that was previously completed.
- Power BI Ppt POC - This POC aims to seamlessly integrate Power BI reports into PowerPoint presentations hosted within a SharePoint environment that shows real-time/live data to the end users who will be accessing reports from PPTs in a SharePoint folder.
- Databricks - Evaluated a few criteria set as part of the Databricks tool evaluation for the team in plans to decommission Alteryx and adopt Generative AI.
Knowledge Sharing and Promoting collaboration in team:
- SODA KT - Conducted a KT session for the team on the PoC and the evaluation set covered as part of the data quality and monitoring tool, SODA.
- Documentation - Documented end-to-end migration steps of Tableau data source migration as part of Regional Credit Details migration. This document is a generic document for the team.
- Knowledge Sharing - I documented the notes of my learnings on the company’s business understandings and supply chain fundamentals, and published them on Confluence for the team to refer to.
