• Being the VP Genomics, I have a team of 95 for both the wet and dry lab activities. I take care of the entire sample processing to data analysis and reporting.
• Being in a techno-commercial role, making sure that all the clinical samples for Sanger, MLPA, Exomes, NIPT and CMA based panels are reported within the defined TAT and develop cost effective approaches.
• Custom panel design and validation as per the client's requirements.
• Sanger and NGS-based clinical tests development for rare disorders and Oncology
• Monitoring the TAT for all the academics & research projects for various applications like genomes, transcriptomes, small/miRNAs, ChIP, metagenomes, methylome, exomes etc.
• Meeting the scientific community/clinicians, understand their project requirement and propose a suitable applications
• Reducing the TAT and failures.

I was involved in taking care of entire technical operations of all the genomics services including the bioinformatics analysis.

• Kept laboratory in compliance with applicable guidelines and laws.
• Kept equipment maintained, facility clean and organized and inventory stocked to maximize performance.
• Designed processes to increase efficiency by minimizing error and reducing repetitive tasks.
• Sample preparation, data generation, and preliminary bioinformatics data analysis for Illumina based
  Genotyping (Infinium and GoldenGate) and Gene Expression (DirectHyb and DASL).
• Handled over 250 individual projects across microarray (gene expression and genotyping) and next generation sequencing applications.

• After my Masters in Biotechnology, I joined in CCMB in a research project entitled "Molecular Epidemiology of Alcohol Metabolism", in which we sequenced candidate genes ALDH and ADH which plays role in alcohol metabolism.
• My role includes sample collection, DNA extraction, PCR amplification of target genes, sanger sequencing and phylogenetic analysis
• After completing the project, I was involved in another project entitled "“Development of radiation hybrid mapping panel and DNA markers for creation of buffalo genome map”
