- Project Name : Various case study parameters involved in identifying smooth & rough cracks using electro-magnetic yoke on mild steel.
- I have done this project as part of my educational curriculum
- Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT) is non destructive testing method that is used to detect cracks in ferromagnetic materials like iron, nickel, cobalt, and other alloys.
- It is relatively fast and simpler than LPT. Here we used small magnetic particles such as iron fillings to detect flaws in component.
- Identification of rough cracks are simple while for smooth cracks identification is little bit complicated it takes time costly.
- Lead a team of five members and successfully completed this project within the given time
