I have been associated with Ernst and Young, Chennai for about 18 years from 2005 till 2023. In the first 12 years as an employee and from 2017 onwards as a Consultant retainer. Have gained immense experience in field of Indirect taxation, GST, Customs over the years.

Have lead a team of 12 people and achieved group targets. Some achievements listed below:

• Assisted several large auto and auto component manufacturer with Central Government/ State Government incentives
• Significant experience in GST/ indirect tax and regulatory matters catering to a number of industry verticals - Oil&Gas, Pharma, Real Estate, Clean Energy, IT & ITeS etc.
• Transaction Tax support in mergers and acquisitions
• Involved in several indirect tax assignments involving advisory, litigation, compliance for various clients in Chennai
• Assisted many clients with value based service offerings like tax optimization strategies, export promotion schemes advisory and implementation, supply chain planning etc.
• Extensive experience on litigation matters – was involved in securing huge refunds of GST/ service tax at the First Appellate level
• Extensive experience in advising multinational companies on SEZs, STPI and similar schemes and planning for entry into India in a tax efficient manner by undertaking tax modelling studies.
• Advised many clients on Customs valuation related proceedings and help them in representation for related litigation.
• Handled health check, due diligence and review assignments for various multinational companies
