ADDITIONAL PROJECTS HANDLED
Company: Wood Group Kenny, India
Client: Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Tenure : January 2015 - March 2015
Project: Residual life analysis of a 42” pipeline in Bombay high, which carries sour gas to the refinery.
Brief: Due to the severe corrosion & defect conditions existing in the pipeline, the focus was on estimating the integrity of the pipeline and its life, with the pigging data only provided for the study.
• Worked on ASME 31 G and the application of Level 2 methods to find the actual results
• Analyzing the present condition pertaining to the corrosion rate of the present pipeline and predicting future corrosion levels
• Applying the results of the analysis into the equation developed, to predict the actual life of the pipeline and suggested necessary measures required for preventing any further deterioration of the pipeline
Preparing a guideline for operators about conducting inspections and other quality assurance checks
