Project 1: Millicom Tigo Bolivia and Paraguay (Apr 22 to Oct 23)

• Supported Tigo Bolivia and Tigo Paraguay for vEPG v3.30 CUPS deployment on the VMWARE platform using VNF LCM. Also performed integration, upgrade, scale-in/scale-out, testing, and reporting.

Roles/Responsibilities:

EPG TOSCA-based deployment activities:

Preparation of the MOP for vEPG deployment.

• Understanding of software Gateway and how to download the latest packages for different deployment methods, for example, VCD package, upgrade package, etc.

• Modification of bcat.yaml, instantiation_input.yaml, and epg_ovf files as per the solution document.

• CSAR package creation.

Onboarding all the modified packages to VNFLCM CLI to their desired paths.

• vApp template creation and deletion using the Virtual Cloud Directory.

• Performed Instantiation and Termination workflow in VNFLCM to Deploy or terminate the respective vnf.

Exporting and importing configuration backup from the node and restoration of the node after deployment.

EPG upgrade activities:

Preparation of the MOP for the vEPG upgrade.

• Performed upgrade by using three different methods on vEPG from version 3.23 to version 3.30.

• Redeployment using the latest package from version 3.30, and terminating the existing vEPG VNF using VNFLCM and console login through the Virtual Cloud Directory.

• Performed Manual upgrade through CLI using upgrade package.

• Performed CCVP (Current Change VNF Package) to upgrade the vnf using VNFLCM workflow.

EPG Scale IN/OUT activities:

• Preparation of MOP for Scale-OUT.

• Performed Scale-OUT by using two different methods on vEPG to scale up the number of VSFO’s.

• Performed Redeployment using same software package and modified the number of VSFO’s in bcat.ymal file.

Performed scale-out directly on VNFLCM using the scale-out workflow.

vEPG Configuration activities: -

• Preparation of LLD using CIQ inputs.

• Created network diagram using VISIOtool.

• Preparation of MOP for configuration of VRP and VSFO cards and network configuration.
