Project Delivery & Customer Interfacing

• Performed as Overall in charge of Project Management with responsibility of delivering an acceptable product to the Auto OEM customer (Maruti Suzuki, MG Motor, M&M, Honda, Ford).
• Active participation in targeted business for understanding customer requirement, quote submission to customer, Tech reviews etc.
• Directs and managed new projects and New Product Development activities from quotation through to feasibility, prototyping, testing, tooling, pre-production and production launch
• Take care of project specific customer issues and improve customer perceptions of company.
• Ensured timely technical support for business unit from COE SMR, Australia

Process Adherence, MIS reporting & capability enhancement

• Ensured projects follow systems and procedures in accordance with SMR Global New Product Development process.
• Ensured customer specific development requirement & processes adhered.
• Leading customer audits / vendor assessment audit (VSA) of Suzuki, ISO/TS 16949 / IATF audits etc.
• Monthly global launch reporting & MIS to Sr Management

Budgeting & Cost Management

• Annual Budget preparation for new projects based on Global sales Plan inputs
• Forecast, monitor, report on and take responsibility for timing, unit cost, project costs and capital costs.

Supplier Interfacing

• Interact with suppliers during new product development & ensure the necessary actions to meet the end customer requirement
• Participating in vendor’s audits.

• Defined PMO structure & charter established for Building Program Management function @ Sonalika
• SPOC (Single point of contact) for Management, Purchase, Quality, Team Leads & R&D
• Established new solutions to refine / enhance existing processes
• Planning, monitoring & reporting of ongoing projects.

Program Management

• Lead & direct Cross Divisional Team to deliver projects within the constraints of schedule, budget, quality & resources
• Developing MS Project Plan, Milestone finalization with team & their monitoring
• Critical Issues escalation to top management for timely resolution & way forward direction
• Ensuring MNPD (Mahindra New Product Development) process throughout Project life cycle

Financial Management & Cost Leadership

• Leading New Proposal feasibility of New Product request
• Participate in Business Case formation, incorporating the assumptions & risks
• Monitoring the Project Cost (Capex & Revenue) w.r.t. approved Budget.
• Ensuring achievement of Business Case targets – Product Delivery, Financial parameters etc.

Management Reporting

• Project MIS / reporting
• Facilitating top management Project reviews with Project Leader & seek direction / decisions

Process / System Improvement

• Core team member of CRUSADE initiative (Mapping & IT enabling of CAD Step process) of delivering FIRST TIME RIGHT PRODUCT - Received “Excellerator 5000” award from R&D Head
• Core team member in strengthening current Farm division NPD process (Project Milap)

Organisational Effectiveness

• Departmental representative for MEM (Mahindra Excellence Model) audits for PMO.
