  • Currently working as part of the Data Solutions-Finance and Treasury team responsible for Data Quality, Data Governance, Data stewardship, Data lineage and IT change management across Liquidity, Capital, Stress testing and financial reporting verticals within Standard Chartered Bank Global Banking Solutions Business Unit.
  • As part of this team, actively taking care of and managing the Data Quality and IT change management for Financial Reporting world and working closely with teams across Record to Report [R2R] Accounting, R2R Reporting, R2R Balance sheet substantiation and R2R Controllership and helping resolve Data quality and Data sourcing issues faced during monthly, quarterly, year-end reporting BAU processes and Regulatory Filling/submissions.
  • Day to Day activities involve DQ Issues Backlog prioritization on monthly basis, attend DQ Issues forums where the downstream present their cases to justify the prioritization and lock remediation plan and date with Data solutions team. A Jira is then created on the Jira dashboard of the responsible transactional system and Data Lake tier team to be discussed during daily stand-up call and worked upon as part of the Months iteration cycle until closure. Data solutions team then presents these resolved DQ items to the Global process owners [GPO] and Global process managers [GPM] for business Signoff.

  • Lead implementation and ongoing management of ERM Program strategies, projects, applications and processes. Work in line with and towards achieving Risk and Control Self-Assessment [RCSA] framework, guidelines and goals designed, developed and periodically reviewed by BASEL team, SVP/VP of Enterprise Risk Management and other senior leaders in order to mandate the effectiveness of ERM systems and upgrade them to be more robust ones, reduce Data Quality incidents, implement features and data elements to support downstream data reporting and data reconciliation activities.
  • Lead a team of more than 8+ team members of diversified skillsets and roles across BA, IT, QA, Data stewardship functions.
  • Knowledge of risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements, that are relevant to the operation of a global custodian bank. Understanding of the financial services processes, related operations, technology, compliance and audit functions. Handled and addressed Federal MRA queries and audit findings.
  • Owned and oversee a centralized risk data repository the “golden source of truth” that enables current understanding of bank's internal and third-party global risk exposures across financial products and offerings to the customers. Maintain ERM tools, applications and database such as Risk Data Repository, Counterparty management system, SCCL Daily recon tool, Limit monitoring system and Data Quality Incident management.
  • Supported regulatory risk reporting and other compliance related activities such as Risk repository Vs GL reconciliations, Spotfire based MIS reports and dashboards, Regulatory Capital operations and monthly/quarterly fillings, RWA queries, Axiom reporting activities, Credit Risk, FED MRA's, SOX and Audit queries. Regional execution of ERM initiatives as agreed with global risk and regional leadership.

  • Healthcare Life Sciences domain product facilitating healthcare analytics by combining Genomics data with Clinical data for genome sequencing and cancer cells identification and early detection of cancer.
  • Research project of Oracle funded by MD Anderson Cancer Research Institute under University of Texas. Part of ETL and Data migration team taking care of the two key data repositories namely Omics data bank and Clinical Data Mart and a front-end application based on these 2 databases as Translational Research Centre.
  • Utilized patterns and variations in the volume, speed and other characteristics of data for predictive analysis. Defined the pre-processing or feature engineering to be done on a given dataset, data augmentation pipelines and analyzing the errors of the model and designing strategies to overcome them and anticipate bottlenecks.
  • As part of the BA,Product management team,responsibilities included taking up backend change requests, perform mappings, define transformations and SLAs for target load and data availability for downstream consumers. Managed a team of 5 professionals across varying level of experience and skill set.

Senior QA Engineer

  • An entities merger project with an aim to bring both Thomson and Reuters over to a single Management Information Systems reporting platform as a result of Thomson acquisition of Reuters.
  • As part of the Project BA team was involved in understanding both reporting platforms, their identical data points and similarities, gap analysis between the two and optimum strategy going forward to combine the bast of the 2 in order to merge the MIS Reporting capability of the two entities.
  • Involved in all aspects of the project starting from analysis, documentation, development, testing, deployment and parallel run along with legacy reporting infra until retirement.
  • This was a challenging project in terms of timelines and that Reuters multi-million-dollar license renew of MicroStrategy tool and technical support was 8 months away.
  • The software’s used were Oracle database, Business Objects XI BI tool and Informatica for ETL. Several 100’s of MIS Reports were revamped for this technology consolidation exercise with exceptional efforts from BA, Dev, Unit, QA and BUAT testing around these reports.
  • Post completion of this project, was actively Involved in analysis and planning of the Thomson Reuters Eikon application/product.

  • Life Sciences and Pharmacovigilance domain product suite for adverse events reporting, signaling and data Exchange activities. The product suite was one of the first in its category in early 2000 market to track the adverse events arising out of Clinical trials and track, report when safety limits as specified by FDA are breached.
  • As part of the Product research team and very junior member of same was exposed to the process behind market research, product usage trends, product usability analysis and futuristic technical and business specific upgrades to the existing product suite.
  • Core responsibilities included performing requirement analysis, participate in BRD and FSD preparation, perform QA and BUAT of the end-to-end product suite along with preparation and regular release wise update of Product Qualifications and Installation Qualification scripts of the product suite. Involved in client site product deployment and training and worked full time for clients like Pfizer, Amgen,Dr Reddy's lab, Baxter.
  • Software and tools used were Oracle database, Business Objects XI BI tool and Informatica for ETL along with deployment and maintenance of a front-end UI applications.
