SAM Core responsibilities: -

  • Provide support to application managers by monitoring license lifecycle usage, and coordinating with business managers and vendors to raise purchase orders (POs) and complete License Renewal Forms (LRFs) when additional licenses are required.
  • Acted as a bridge between business owners, the procurement team, and software vendors to interpret quotes, validate requirements, and align purchases for Tier-1 publishers (e.g., Microsoft), including entitlement and usage analysis.
  • Review license usage in the SAM tool (e.g., Realm) prior to renewal, and notify application managers at least three months before the renewal date.
  • When a licensed version upgrade is required, obtain email approval from the business owner, and coordinate with the SCCM team to deploy the new version, while informing end users accordingly.
  • Identify non-compliant installations, unused licenses, and reclamation opportunities to achieve cost savings, ensure operational continuity, and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Maintain records of license agreements, and generate Effective License Position (ELP) reports using standard formats.
  • Analyze daily license usage to identify idle licenses, so they can be reclaimed and reassigned to new users.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) detailing the use of perpetual licenses, license key information, and providing formal training to stakeholders.
  • Researched new products and services available from vendors and negotiated favorable terms.

Incident/CMDB Core Responsibilities :-

  • Analyzing SNOW data by extracting it on a weekly basis and interpreting it in the form of dashboards for SNOW data quality, as well as the status of roadmap events, helps to close the stipulated time from the respective application managers.
  • Providing support to Application Managers community to Decommission application in SNOW.
  • Leading and handling CMDB activities, such as server onboarding, decommissioning, application onboarding, group creations, group member additions and modifications, deletion, and deactivation, etc.
  • Raising tickets by using appropriate service catalogues for group ownership transfers, group deactivation/deletion, creation of groups, etc.
  • Documentation of necessary KBAs, workflows related to onboarding, and decommission processes.
  • Providing monthly reports to the manager in the form of KPIs and trends, along with an overall summary.
