Summary

I am currently serving as Nursing Faculty at AIIMS Bhubaneswar, a premier central government institute, since March 2018. With over 15 years of professional experience, my journey in nursing began in 2004, culminating in a BSc in Nursing (2009) and an MSc in Nursing (2012). Since 2021, I have been pursuing a PhD in Nursing under the National PhD Consortium by the Indian Nursing Council. I have also completed certified courses in Health Research Fundamentals (NIE, Chennai, 2017) and Systematic Reviews (Johns Hopkins University, 2020).

My clinical and academic journey spans several prestigious institutions. I began as a BSc intern at Government Medical College Hospital, Calicut, followed by roles as Sister Grade 2 at AIIMS New Delhi, and then as a staff nurse at NIMHANS, Bangalore, where I served in the neuropsychiatric emergency department for five years.

At AIIMS Bhubaneswar, I am actively involved in curriculum development, student support, and national capacity-building programs. Notably, I contributed to the Ministry of Health’s "Training the Trainer" program for substance use disorders and the Mental Health Champion program. I also support student wellness through counseling and suicide prevention initiatives.

My research interests align with national health priorities, reflected in several peer-reviewed publications, an H-index over 16, and an i10-index of 13. I have been an invited speaker at multiple national institute conferences, sharing insights from my research. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I served on the frontlines at AIIMS Bhubaneswar, reaffirming my dedication to patient care under crisis.

With diverse experience in trauma, ICU, radiology, psychiatry, and community mental health, I bring a unique blend of clinical expertise, academic rigor, and compassionate care. I am known for my communication skills, leadership in academic settings, and a strong commitment to advancing nursing education and practice.
