  • Overview:
  • Charge-Off is the process which will remove entire outstanding balance of the Customer
  • As per the US Bank policy bank will give 180 days of timeline after the customer assets got
  • Bankrupt to pay the balance which needs to pay
  • In this timeline if Customer not able to pay the due amount bank will Charge-Off it off (kind of loss to Bank)
  • While Charge-Off any of the account, we will do some checkings like "Days Past Due
  • Reason to charge it off & Loan Balance (how much amount to charge off)
  • After all these checking we will proceed further to make the account Charge-Off
  • Applications which we use for this process is
  • Mainframe - Customer details checking
  • COTS - Any of the account which needs to be Charge-Off it should be enter here (major part)
  • E-Post - Will give all the required information like Customer Account Number ; Charge-Off

  • After completing above steps it will take 24 hrs of time to get the record changes

  • My primary role in the team was to handle the requests received from On-shore team regarding changes to the client’s accounts based on changing services and dealing with account related products and services of the bank which a customer would use
  • Charge off customer’s accounts as per the daily file we receive on the basis of products and debt owed
  • Products handled on Overdraft Protection, Demand Deposit Accounts, equity, collateral, unsecured loans, credit cards, student loans, instalment Loans (Auto, Home, Unsecured) , Line of credit (etc.).
  • Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer account through open and interactive communication and Helping the team member to achieve the daily target
  • Maintaining 100% productivity and accuracy in the process and also ensure that the process is also achieving the SLA defined by the client
  • Worked in BCP period towards closing the backlog and exceeded the expectations of the clients from a disaster recovery site and Managed and Co-ordinated with team and provided training for new joiners
  • Handled heavy volume in loan processing with nil errors and assisting other sub teams
