-Leading Design & Development of Automotive Wheels & Wheel Assemblies for Passenger Cars & Three Wheelers for worldwide OEM's
- Validating assemblies with other mating parts in Vehicle Environment such as Brake calipers, Brake Drums, Idler Hubs, Wheel covers, Tires etc.
- Conducting Design Failure Modes & Effect Analysis (DFMEA) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) with Cross Functional Team.
- Overlooking the design releases to the internal teams and as well as to OEMs
- Communicating with R&D Higher Management regarding Project status and further developments
Achievements -
- Spearheaded design and development of 6 innovative high vent/ flex steel wheels without infringing any existing patent which enabled SSWL to bag orders from Renault and Hyundai
- Led design and development of 26 US and EU projects involving high-speed trailer wheels & mobile home rims which enabled SSWL to capitalize on annual market of 2.5 million wheels
- Implemented 5 Value Engineering ideas in existing high-volume wheels to increase the annual savings by more than 0.4 million US dollars
- Designed & Released 2D drawings & 3D CAD for the Steel Wheels for Passenger Car & Three Wheeler segment
- Validated & Checked the drawings & 3D CAD as per OEMs requirements
- Executed assembly checks on Siemens NX with other Vehicle interference parts such as Brake Calipers, Brake Drums, Wheel Covers, Tires, Hub Caps etc.
- Prepared Design Reports & Project time plans
- APQP & Project Management activities for each assigned projects.
- Supported in Design & Development of Passenger car steel wheels
