I am a part of the Application Migration Team, I work in the Build Phase which require understanding of the existing application functionality, workflow, architecture and propose a cloud solution with an optimized Design which is aligned to the business need like reduction in cost and infrastructure
Migration is performed in the Chronological way which starts from Initial Assessment Questionnaire, Discovery, Design, Build, Deployment, Implementation and finally DR of Application
We make use of Service Now as the primary analysis tool at a low level. Also, we use HPCMS tool for various discovery report generation of application. VRA tool is used to build the server based on our specification requirement
Decent knowledge in sketching the existing and proposed Logical/Operational/Infrastructure/Deployment architecture of the application
Managing the end-to-end application migration to ensure deadlines are met and risks are mitigated
Responsible for the application Migration to the new proposed server by application packaging and deployment of application code, other elements via Urban Code Deployment
Experienced in Jenkins by installing, configuring and maintaining for purpose of continuous integration (CI) and for end to end automation for all build and deployments and creating Jenkins CI pipelines.
Experienced in branching, merging and maintaining the versions using SCM tools like Git and GitHub on windows and Linux platform.
Experienced in Project Management and issue tracking tool like JIRA and Confluence.
Experienced in the creation of Docker containers and Docker consoles for managing the application life cycle.
Wrote Kubernetes Deployment manifest files to include application deployment configurations.
Automated Instance configuration tasks using Ansible Playbooks.
Deployed infrastructure using Terraform- IaC
Have a wider knowledge on ITMS tools like Service Now, CMDB, HPCMS, CR Request creation and VRA Tool
Performed Server Decommissioning activity as well which includes Analysis of server, Change Creation, Dependency Check and decommissioning of servers.
