Proactive Senior Manager successful at overseeing Power Distribution functions with 55 employees and 4 front-line managers to achieve demanding goals. Successful at creating cohesive, results-oriented teams by setting clear policies and vision.
· Joined TATA POWER-DDL on 1st January 2003 as Engineer Trainee. TATA POWER-DDL is a joint venture between TATA POWER Company Ltd & Government of NCT of Delhi earlier it was called NDPL (North Delhi Power Limited).
· After 6 months of induction training I was posted as Zonal Shift Officer in July 2003. In July 2006, I was posted as Zonal Revenue Discipline & Maintenance Officer(ZRDMO).
After one year I was given a new challenge & posted as District Revenue Management Officer. There I worked till June 2009.
· In June 2009, I was again given a fresh challenge & posted in a new group called Special Consumer Group. I was the first officer to be inducted in this newly formed group.
In the FY 2002-2003,TPDDL had started its revolutionary journey in Electric Power Distribution Sector with 55% AT&C losses.
The company reduced the losses to 16% by the end of FY 2008-2009. The Special Consumer Group was created through an initiative of top management to further reduce the AT&C losses and to bring it below 7%.
· In Special Consumer Group, SCG my prime responsibilities were:
a) Electrification of all 221 Nos JJ Slums in operational area of TATA POWER-DDL.(approx. population of 10 lacs in all these JJ Slums, Potential number of consumers more than 3.5 lacs).
b) Providing new Electrical Power connections (1-2 kW per dwelling unit) to all potential consumers of these JJ Slums.(nearly 3.5 lacs consumers brought under billing net from FY 2009 to FY 2012).
c) Metering of all energy input points to these 221 Nos JJ Slums so as to facilitate Energy Audit activity.
d) Taking new initiatives for improving billing and collection efficiency in all these 221 Nos JJ Slums.
e) Managing franchisee concept and other CSR activities in all these 221 Nos JJ Slums & surrounding villages within license area of TATA POWER-DDL (A unique model of success of loss reduction by providing legitimate electricity connections to JJ Slums & Villages by a Power distribution utility. The model have won several awards at state & national level).
· Later I become the Head of the Group of Special Consumer Group in FY 2012.
· In FY 2013, I was promoted and become Zonal Manager (Like SDO in State Power Utilities).
· Due to distinguished work performance as Zonal Manager, I was promoted as Business Unit Manager of Model Town Division of my license area of North & North-west Delhi.
As Business Unit Manager my prime responsibilities were:
a) Maintaining 24X7 quality & reliable Electric Power Supply for all segments of consumer (Industrial, Commercial, Domestic & Slums) in my division (Model Town-Business Unit with approx. Consumer Base 80,000+)
b) Maintaining consumer discipline through Enforcement activities in my operational area.
c) Responsible for increasing Billing & Collection Efficiency and thus reducing AT&C losses in my Business Unit.
d) Planning and execution of Electrification schemes for future load growth and improving reliability of Power Supply in my Business Unit.
e) Execution of CAPEX Scheme in my Business Unit in coordination with various other departments for major schemes. (Schemes for System Improvement & thus eliminating Power theft in my operational area.)
f) I was responsible for creating Safe working culture at work site in my Business Unit by ensuring 100% compliance to all Safety procedures & guidelines as per Tata Power Company's Safety guidelines, Contractor Safety Management System, DERC, CEA Guidelines and other Statutory requirements.
· In FY 2020, I was further promoted and posted as Senior Manager in “Quality Assurance Group & Projects Group.
· From FY 2023, I am working as Senior Manager Safety in Corporate Safety Department of TATA POWER-DDL.
