  • The objective of this test scenario is to cover the different combinations of time entry and check the validations for time entry for different kinds of users
  • This scenario will be executed along with the GFT team as they own the control table where the attendance type will be maintained for the different validations Time Approval - Time writers record time and submit the same for approval from the Line manager
  • The approval can be done in the enterprise portal screens as well as from the SAP GUI screens
  • The main objective of this scenario is to check the different ways that timesheets can be approved - - Line manager needs to approve/reject timesheets in the Portal
  • He can see the timesheets for his subordinates, another Line manager who reports to him, and time writers of other organizational units who work for him but who do not have a Line manager
  • He approves and rejects timesheets based on the entries in the timesheets
  • The entries are approved/rejected either in a cumulative group or by looking through each time entry in detail
  • In case of rejection, an email notification is sent to the time writer - - Work center chief approves/rejects timesheets for contractors in the portal
  • Time Administrator approves/rejects time on behalf of employees in SAP GUI screens
  • Time Administrator approves/rejects time on behalf of contractors in SAP GUI screens
  • Delegation - Supervisors can use delegation to ensure that the timesheets are approved on time in case they are not available by delegating to another supervisor
  • The objective of this test scenario is to check the different ways in which delegation can be achieved
  • Supervisor sets up (Line Manager), changes, and removes delegation using the Portal screens
  • The administrator sets up delegation on behalf of supervisors using SAP GUI screens
  • Administrator sets up delegation on behalf of Work center chief using SAP GUI screens Prior Period Adjustment
  • He time entries submitted by time writers are adjusted after it has been approved as well as after it has been submitted but before the approval
  • The objective of this test scenario is to check the different ways that this can be achieved

  • His scenario lists the different reports that are executed by different role players like time writers, approvers, and administrators
  • The main objective is to check each of the reports for the different role players
  • Time writers and approvers execute the reports through the portal and the administrators use the SAP GUI
  • Personnel Master Data report displays employees’ and/or contractors’ master data
  • Time report displays employees’ and/or contractors’ time data
  • Pending Approval report displays employee and/or contractors time entries that have been submitted for approval and have not yet been approved
