Scope of work:

Main objective of this project is to produce signalling designs for TCAID Mk2 units and TCAID-HVI units for the DC track circuits and HVI track circuits on the Wessex route which are not fitted with TCAIDs earlier and are prone to wrong side failures due to railhead contamination.

This project will provide a new integrated transport interchange at headbolt lane. It is proposes an extension of Merseyrail approximately 1200m from Kirkby station to a new station at Headbolt lane with a corresponding shift of ELR:WKL2 terminus from kirkby to headbolt lane.
