• Handled various client change projects that are raised to enhance the flow from the client's system, which takes less manual intervention and increases the STP rate.
• Onboarded new clients and was a part of the migration of market changes. This involved performing required testing raised by clients, and working with the business teams to move the changes and processes into production, post-validation.
• Experience in completing UAT/Regression testing for client requests, system upgrades, and changes to business processes, providing a complete handover to the business/BAU teams.
• Creation of test packs and test scenarios as per test/client requirements, and performing testing for the same once agreed upon with the client.
• Relentlessly worked on the annual SWIFT upgrades every year, whereby the tags for the MT54X messages get updated. This involved rigorous testing of the SWIFT messages in UAT, identifying bugs, fixing them, and then moving to production.

• Handled a project on the recent changes to MT54Y (Match and Settlement messages) messages, whereby the settlement confirmation status update by custodians can be viewed in the form of SWIFT messages. Performed testing and moved it to production after all the business requirement checks.
• Managed multiple projects for two of the big clients on their product enhancements (Bonds and Repos simultaneously), ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.

• Managed static data by maintaining and updating the relevant and updated data according to market standards, ensuring the accuracy of essential information within systems.
• Coordinated between various teams (Technology, Operations) to streamline the proper static data setup for the respective regions.
• Worked on a massive internal project to automate the flow of mutual funds within the systems by updating static data (implementing a split settlement model) that the business was handling manually earlier. This reduced the workload by 76% and saved time for almost three hours a day.
• Brought the products, such as Unit Trusts and Funds, into a whole new model (Enterprise Banking Model), which was a new market update by updating the entire static data piece.
• Led the migration of an existing application into a new UI with advanced options and filters.
• Worked closely with custodians during their system upgrades or settlement instructions upgrades, ensuring no backlogs, and smooth updating of static data and trade flows.

Pre-matching and Fails

• Worked closely with custodians to pre-match the trades into the market before cutoffs. Any discrepancies reported by custody (SSI amendment, short of stock) were investigated and solved.
• Liaised with counterparties on their SSIs, amendments, and ensured the stocks are delivered on time.
• Streamlined the prematching process with counterparties for most of the clients, achieving 100% KPI (Key Performance Indicator).
• Worked on failed trades as well to ensure the root cause of the trade failing in the market, and settle it in the market.
• Ensuring a detailed EOD report was sent to the client, giving details of the matched and unmatched trades on a day-to-day basis.
• Documented procedures, business processes, and shared information with appropriate.

Trade Confirmations - Middle office

• Experience in getting trades confirmed with brokers on electronic platforms (CTM/MISYS), and liaising with them to confirm before the value date.
• Handled various instruments such as equities, bonds, commercial papers, certificates of deposit, and FXs.
• Worked closely with the front office on client ad hoc requests and queries to resolve them on time.
• Ensured all discrepancies were reported to Investment Managers and their traders in a timely manner in the form of issue logs.
• Any missing allegements in the market where deals were not booked on our end, as of the counterparties, were immediately queried.
• Ensured SWIFTS were released in the market or delivered to custody post-counterparty confirmation, within respective market deadlines.
