- Responsible for the migration ,upgrade and maintenance of DB2 for Z/OS V12 ,V13, the BMC DB2 Tool Suite , Platinum Tool, CA tool
- Provided 24 X 7 support for 26 DB2 subsystems.
- Provided level 1, 2 technical support to members of the DBA and Application Development teams as well as production support to Operations.
- Handling & monitoring alerts on weekends.
- Responsible for the Upgrade, migration and maintenance of all DB2 products for Z/OS V12 and DB2 Tools in a Parallel Sysplex environment (Z/OS 2.4).
- Provided level 1 technical support to the DBA's, application programming staff, and Production Control on a daily basis.
- Responsible for DB2 performance and tuning at the system level.
- Provided 24x7 support for 19 DB2 subsystems including 5 Data Sharing Groups.
- Responsible for ordering maintenance and upgrades (IBM, Broadcom).
- Worked with a member of the MVS team to automate receiving DB2 maintenance via FTP on a weekly basis.
- Modified the rollout of DB2 maintenance so that it was consistent with the rollout of Z/OS and CICS maintenance across LPARS when IPL's occurred every year twice (July -october)
- Migrated 19 DB2 subsystems from V12 to V13.
- Planned and implemented the migration/installation of 19 DB2 subsystems from V12 to V13.
- Support in site-swap activities & zos-upgrade for 2.5
- Wrote ad-hoc programs as required.
