Work Summary:

• Industrial Gearbox Assembly, Testing & Painting - Process Planning, Execution and Dispatch, as per PP in timely manner.
• Complete Refurbishing/Repair of ANY MAKE/ANY APPLICATION Industrial gearbox in timely manner to satisfy Customer -These are generally site failure cases & are fast tracked for quick turnaround in site operation.
• Managing 6 Shift Engineers, 50 Assembly Fitters, 8 Painting Workmen for Effective & Timely execution of projects
• Reports to HOD and is Deputy HOD in Assembly & Testing Department.
• Responsible for Successful Execution of Special Projects in Assembly - Ex: Indian Navy Propeller Epicyclic Gearbox, Indian Navy Vacuum Pumps, Planetary Gearboxes, High Speed Compressor Gearbox (25,000 RPM), Impeller Mounting & Balancing etc.
• Responsible for Handling External ISO, EHS & OSHAS Audits and maintaining all necessary documentations.
• Responsible for Procurement of Machines, Spares, Tools & Special Requirements, for Assembly & Testing Section - Lubrication Filter Spares, Pneumatic/Hydraulic/Mechanical Tooling, Safety Equipment etc.
• Painting Section In-charge: Handling of daily work load, Ensures each job is painted as per Customer Specification and Fit for Customer inspection checks, Training & development of workmen.
• Proficient in Industrial Gearbox Instrumentation - Includes Temperature, Pressure & Vibration Monitoring Devices
• Extensively involved in Shop capacity building, Test bench & New Machine Commissioning, SCADA Integrations in loop with Test Bench, Lubrication System & Condition Monitoring Systems.
• Good at Troubleshooting, Problem Identification & Generation of Ideas to Overcome Issues.
• Experienced in On-site Commissioning & Servicing roles.
• KAIZEN Leader - Have brought in numerous improvements in areas of Process, Productivity, Safety, Quality.
• Experienced in SAP PP Module - Process Routing, Production Order & MIS Generation etc.
• Presenting Yearly CAPEX Proposal to HOD Manufacturing.
• Experienced in Training, Motivating & Conflict Management of Workmen.
• Vendor Identification, Development.
