1. Requirement Analysis

Review business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.

Identify gaps, ambiguities, or inconsistencies and get them clarified.

2. Test Planning

Prepare detailed test plans outlining strategy, scope, timelines, and tools.

Estimate testing efforts and define test objectives.

3. Test Case Design & Review

Create comprehensive test cases, test scenarios, and checklists.

Review test cases for accuracy, coverage, and traceability.

Ensure all functional and non-functional requirements are covered.

4. Test Execution

Execute manual or automated test

Document test results and maintain testing records.

5. Track defects until closure and collaborate with developers for fixes.

6. Regression Testing

Perform regression testing after every bug fix or new test

7. Automation Support (if applicable)

Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, TestNG, Playwright, Cypress, etc.

Execute automated test suites during builds or CI/CD pipelines.

8. Quality Metrics & Documentation

Maintain test coverage reports, defect metrics, and test summary reports.

Provide QA sign-off for releases.

9. Communication & Collaboration

Work closely with developers, product owners, and project managers.

Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and review meetings.

Communicate risks, delays, or issues proactively.

10. Continuous Improvement

Suggest process improvements for better quality and faster practices
