- Role involves the product management activities consisting of the complete product lifecycle responsibility such as initiating new product development or product improvisation based on market feedback, evaluating investments & ROI, identifying manufacturing locations, ensuring data privacy and maintenance, organizing standard documentation, licensing etc.
- Overall product responsibility for KSB's API 610 pump and Mining application pumps.
- Single point of contact to the Sales and Application engineering team to assist them in selecting the pump with non standard requirements.
- Checking the feasibility of offering pump with respect to costumer requirement
- Leading the decision process on offers by checking required modifications in standard pump if required with respect to ROI, manufacturing location, time etc.
- Co-ordinate with colleagues from the design department, hydraulic department, product management etc.
- Responsible for implementation, testings and maintenance of selection software used for heavy-duty pumps(Intelliquip) as well as need to possess knowledge of pump type series uploaded in selection software.
- Understanding of functioning of centrifugal pumps and other accessories
- Understanding the stringent technical requirements of customer
- Responsible for understanding, identifying, adding, maintaining and modifying relevant technical data in the selection software as and when required. This includes hydraulic data as well as constructional data of product.
