QA Tester – Manual Testing
As a Manual QA Tester, I am responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of both web and mobile applications. My primary duties include:
- Test Design and Documentation: Preparing detailed test design documents, including test cases and test scenarios, to ensure comprehensive coverage of all application functionalities.
- Manual Testing: Executing manual test cases across web and mobile platforms to verify the correctness and performance of applications in real-world scenarios.
- Defect Analysis Reporting: Identifying, documenting, and reporting defects through a structured defect management system. I also perform retesting to confirm defect resolution and close issues upon successful verification.
Secondary Activities:-
- User Documentation: Creating clear and concise user manuals to ensure end-users can effectively navigate and utilize applications.
- Client Communication: Addressing client inquiries and clarifying doubts regarding application functionality, defects, and testing processes, ensuring transparent communication throughout the testing lifecycle.
This role has allowed me to develop strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of testing methodologies, and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
Projects
Throughout my work on many e- governance initiatives, I made sure the end users will receive a seamless and bug free application. My major projects with brief descriptions are:-
- OMBADC:- A fund disbursement application which is developed to release payment to vendors, who are involved in building activities of different AWCs.
- Rural Housing:- An application which is developed with a sole purpose to aid those who are below poverty line to build/ rebuild their houses by providing funds through different government schemes.
- File Management System:- An application which is used to create, authorize and organize huge files and letters in an organization.
- EMPRO:- A Maldivian client based project which is used manage and procure assets.
