Company Overview: Project – Midapp (ABSA Bank). This project contains mainly four applications: BEM, ANE, JBPM, and AFH.

• BEM (Branch Enterprise Middleware) is a message and service-oriented common middleware.
• ANE (ABSA Notification Engine) is responsible for transferring messages in the form of SMS or emails to the customers.
• JBPM (Java Business Process Model) is a back-end workflow tool procured by the Service Provider from IBM pursuant to an agreement.
• AFH (ABSA File Handler) aims to bring all of those backend systems under one interface and provide a file handling service, align and optimize the process, and IT infrastructure/resources to maximize the benefits.

Assumed various responsibilities within the team environment.

• Monitoring Application.
• Monitoring applications and server logs.
• Application Maintenance and Operations.
• Monitoring all scheduled jobs in the environment.
• Provide the necessary app logs to L3.
• DR movement of applications on a quarterly basis.
• Work on incidents.
• Managed various activities, including kernel upgrade patching.
• Collected requirements, drafted business documents, and conducted root cause analysis for critical incidents.
• Maintained seamless operations with 24/7 availability.
• Performed monthly releases and deployments.
• Troubleshooting and solving existing problems.
• Worked alongside developers and business analysts to resolve key application problems.
• Created and maintained comprehensive documentation, including incident reports, knowledge base articles, and standard operational procedures, ensuring consistency and knowledge sharing among the team.
• Demonstrated expertise in Service-Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Applies fundamental ITIL concepts effectively.
• Managed server operations using Jenkins and UCD.
• Rescaled pods to address high CPU usage and exceptions.
