Ph.D. Thesis Project:
Topic: Improving cross-corpora generalization for low-resourced spoken language identification.
Supervisor: Prof. Goutam Saha, Professor, IIT Kharagpur.
Duration: July 2019 - present.
Description: We aim to improve the generalization of Indian spoken language identification systems developed with very limited amount of speech data. To increase the amount of audio data suitable for the state-of-the-art deep learning architectures, we rely on proposing realistic audio data augmentation and domain generalization using pre-trained self-supervised representations.
B.Tech Final Year Project:
Title: Developing low-cost amplitude modulation transmitter kit.
Supervisor: Prof. A.K.Dutta, Professor, Techno India.
Duration: July 2015 - June 2016.
Description: Developed low-cost and robust hardware kit to transmit signal wave using amplitude modulation (SSB-FC) for radio communication.
M.Tech Thesis Project:
Title: Sound source localization.
Supervisor: Dr. Srinivas Boppu, Assistant Professor, IIT Bhubaneswar.
Duration: May 2018 - April 2019.
Description: Developed Raspberry Pi based portable hardware kit which enables automatic keyword spotting from input speech and redirects the microphone receiver towards the target speaker. Spectrogram features were fed to 1D-CNN model for front-end keyword detection followed by the Time Difference of Arrival (TDoA) algorithm for direction of arrival estimation.
