• Modified pin configuration, processing temperatures and trimming knife alteration to enhance process proofing of higher width and gauge shoulder cushion gum in SCE.
• Reduced Tread Splice open defect from 0.68% to 0.17%
• Implementation of Multidisc serration for sidewall to reduce sidewall blow from 0.04 % to 0.01 %.
• Conversion of SRRD extrusion mode to pressure head extrusion mode to eliminate cured tyre scrap due to edge flash.
• TCU settings modified to improve homogenization by increasing the shear rate of compound in plastizing and extrusion zone to eliminate Cold patches and Surface roughness.
• Tread weight compliance improvement from 90% to 94% with reduced weight tolerance of 1% in 10.00 R20 LD size in HCE.
• Tread Profile compliances improved from 72% to 94 % with 50% of reduced tolerance.
• Increased efficiency and productivity of LTR SW Extruder setup by modifying the design of the sidewall preformer, allowing for easy integration with PCR head opening. As a result, setup time was improved substantially, decreasing from 50 minutes to just 30 minutes.

Designation: Quality Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Implementation of New profile products in production process.
• Responsible for Tyre architecture alerts
• Perform Profile modification by die designing & do the die tests for profile conformity
• Perform periodic tests to ensure machine efficiency.
• To do risk analysis for process evolution request from downstream.
• Monitoring process capabilities to guarantee the process
• Co-ordination with central team & lead improvements projects
• To Qualify industrialization mixes along with test results
• Coordination with R&D team to meet the industrializations deadlines.
• Monitoring the Screw wear by conducting debit test periodically
• To define Reincorporation percentage of chutes into receiving mix
