Charleston is a popular tourism destination, and were a top provider of iconic carriage tours, so expect a rapid pace in this rewarding leadership role.Responsibilities:<ul> <li>Manage daily operations to meet or exceed Old South Carriage expectations for customer satisfaction, quality, safety, and productivity</li> <li>Develop a team culture consistent with the company mission and values</li> <li>Motivate employees, resolve issues, and make operational decisions</li> <li>Serve as company representative to staff and customers</li> <li>Work closely with General Manager to manage workflow by monitoring process, understanding inventory and variables, and facilitating corrections</li> </ul>About Old South Carriage CompanyOld South Carriage Company is a family owned business that was established in 1983 with 3 horses and one small carriage. Today, with 30 horses and a fleet of carriages, Old South Carriage offers what you would expect from a large touring company without sacrificing the personal commitment unique to a family owned business. We are a premier tour operator with a focus on serving our Charleston visitors with unsurpassed hospitality and providing excellent equine care to our horses. We believe that providing the best experience starts with hiring the best team members. Requirements<ul> <li>Proven management experience in a team-oriented workplace; hospitality or service industry experience preferred </li> <li>Experience with customer service and conflict resolution</li> <li>Self-motivated with a results-driven approach (or Detail-oriented, well organized and able to adhere to deadlines)</li> <li>Strong written and spoken communication skills</li> <li>Valid drivers license</li> <li>Valid tour guide certification issued by the City of Charleston a plus</li> </ul>Education and Experience Requirements<ul> <li>Associates or bachelors degree </li> <li>Minimum of three years of responsible leadership experience in a management or supervisory position</li> <li>Proficient computer skills, experience with payroll, workforce scheduling, and online booking software (ADP, Xola and WhentoWork preferred)</li> <li>Experience with horses a plus</li> </ul>Benefits<ul> <li>Flexible scheduling around a 40-hour work week</li> <li>Supportive, professional, and respectful company culture</li> <li>Opportunities for continuing education and training </li> </ul>
