Job Role for PROXIMITY MANAGER :

• Acts as an operational extension of our Fleet Group and Supply Chain, ensuring seamless day-to-day collaboration. Leverages deep expertise to coach and mentor buying teams, enhancing capabilities in Category Buying
• Provides strategic solutions to overcome complex challenges in spare parts procurement
• Actively engages with Fleet Group, Category teams, and Logistics to reduce procurement volumes and optimize efficiency
• Evaluates urgent requests critically and advises on port preferences to minimize costs
• Ensures timely and effective handling of escalations from the Fleet Group, with clear communication and resolution cascaded across OAP

SENIOR CATEGORY BUYER:

• Over 3 years of hands-on experience in Category Buying across Machinery, Electrical, Consumables, Nautical, Lashing, LUPAC, Reefer, Procvision and Logistics
• Experienced in handling after-hours procurement duties, with expertise in all categories
• Applies logistics knowledge to minimize costs while arranging and delivering spares efficiently
• Negotiates competitive pricing and manages supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of quality materials
• Maintains procurement records, analyzes market trends, and collaborates with internal departments to streamline operations
• Continuously evaluates supplier performance to implement cost-saving strategies and uphold quality standards
• Conducts thorough supplier research and selection to source goods and services aligned with company needs

• Prepared and processed import and export documentation according to customs regulations, laws and procedures.
• Monitored shipments and obtained clearance from customs and other agencies.
• Requested and compiled necessary import documentation, including customs invoices, certificates of origin and cargo-control documents.
• Prepared, checked and filed documentation with Frontline department.
• Forecasted, scheduled and monitored project timelines, personnel performance and cost efficiency.
• Handling lease business
• Preparation of weekly report, co-ordination with the Lease customers, stakeholders, follow-up with the depot where containers are to be redelivered.
• Handling projects on LGST (Longstanding), Buyout Project, Annual verification & Write off Project.
• Looking after Contract Management - Contracts creation for containers, System update as per Infleet & Outfleet.

• Retained clients and obtained referrals by promptly resolving customer complaints, providing value and promoting quality.
• Addressed customer concerns immediately and promptly resolved issues to boost client satisfaction.
• Answered customer questions and responded quickly to problems and complaints in person, on phone and by email.
