Online Advisor is a health insurance-based web application that supports advisors in managing and processing insurance-related workflows.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Performing UI Automation Testing using Playwright.
• Designing and maintaining automated test scripts for end-to-end user journeys.
• Validating insurance workflows including policy creation, quote generation, and advisor interactions.
• Working with Page Object Model (POM) design pattern for maintainable automation framework.
• Executing regression and smoke test suites.
• Identifying defects, logging bugs, and tracking them through defect management tools.
• Collaborating with developers and business teams for requirement clarification.
• Participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings (Agile methodology).

Project II: PremCalc Insurance Premium Calculation Engine

PremCalc is an insurance-based backend microservice application responsible for premium calculation and validation processes.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Performing API Testing for premium calculation and validation services.
• Validating REST APIs using request/response verification.
• Working with Kafka (Producer & Consumer) for message-based validation.
• Testing event-driven architecture by validating published and consumed messages.
• Using WireMock for service virtualization and mocking dependent services.
• Validating business rules related to insurance premium calculations.
• Performing end-to-end integration testing across microservices.
• Verifying data consistency between services and backend systems.
• Logging and tracking defects and supporting release activities.

Project : PlusHome App Domain: Communication

Project III Overview:

The PlusHome App integrates network management, router management, home security, and value-added services, offering Verizon customers a unified digital view of all their connected home devices.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Gained expertise in the mobile app’s functionality and its backend services/APIs (RESTful, SOAP, GraphQL).
• Collaborated with stakeholders (product managers, developers) to define test automation requirements and expectations for APIs.
• Developed and executed automated test scripts for API endpoints, including GET, POST, PUT, DELETE requests with valid and invalid data.
• Verified API response status codes (200 OK, 400 Bad Request, 401 Unauthorized, 500 Internal Server Error) using automation tools. Automated authentication and authorization tests to ensure secure access to protected data.
• Reported automation test results, including request details, expected responses, actual responses, and any issues encountered.
• Created detailed automation bug reports for API-related issues, such as authentication failures, slow responses, or incorrect data.

• Created automated test scripts for API testing, covering valid/invalid requests, edge cases, and error handling scenarios.

• Create and maintain automated test scripts using TestNG and Selenium for banking applications, implementing retry mechanisms for failed tests to improve reliability in unstable environments and ensuring accurate test environments that reflect production for realistic testing.
• Perform regression testing to ensure new releases don’t reintroduce previously fixed issues and develop automated tests for batch processing and back-office systems.
• Collaborate with business analysts to ensure requirements are clear, testable, and meet accessibility standards for users with disabilities, while participating in sprint planning, providing estimates, and prioritizing testing tasks.
• Organize test cases using TestNG groups to run tests efficiently, identify and report bugs to help developers fix issues quickly, and suggest improvements to automation tools and testing methods.
• Write test plans, test cases, and reports to track testing progress and collaborate with developers, analysts, and other teams to ensure smooth testing and high-quality releases.
