• Monitoring several Mechanical Maintenance initiatives for successful completion within timelines
• Maintaining cost and Inventory of entire mechanical maintenance within ABP
• Ensuring that procurement of material happens within norms of Tata steel and controlling unnecessary purchases to control inventory
• Single point of contact for entirety of mechanical maintenance for any issue with other departments within Tata steel
• Analysis of inventory for identification of cost/ inventory reduction initiatives
• Convenor for Monthly chief review meeting, shutdown co-ordination meeting and working capital review meeting

Acted as a team leader in group projects, delegating tasks and providing feedback for the following projects

• Creation of model for tracking and monitoring of cost of all departments
• Inventory forecast model for tracking future inventory while considering incoming material
• SAP based project planning module for tracking individual tasks along with all required resource inputs
• Maintenance System Assessment dashboard creation for visibility of all lead and lag indicators of maintenance
• Refurbishment portal for tracking refurbished material
• Indent request portal modification for inclusion of consumption pattern and other requirements
• Model for identification of material to place ARC

Recruited to

• Maintain LD1 a steel making department of TATA STEEL, in running condition without opportunity loss by Increasing the reliability of several equipment including ladle furnace, ID fan, pumps, gas recovery system, dust extraction system and other auxiliaries of a steel melting shop
• Ensure inputs for shut down planning activities which are timely and productively provided with in areas of responsibility
• Participate in acceptance test of new facilities when requested
• Support the department in reaching maintenance excellence by aligning with several agencies with in TATA STEEL and other support groups
• Finding Root Cause for Failure and to implement the learning in other parts of departments
• Ensuring the safety of the equipment and people working
• Plan and procure spares required by aligning with ABP
• Overhauling of out dated and damaged equipment to improve productivity
• Maintaining the inventory cost as well as man power cost without hampering productivity
• Actively participate and facilitate development and improvement projects in department
• To eliminate Man machine interface leading to unsafe incidents

Spear headed the following projects for successful completion

• Implementation of AUTO-COUPLER to eliminate the excess work done operators in connecting hose of steel ladle
• Standardization of CO gas line U seals with required length of water column
• Upgradation of DE system of Ladle arc furnace to maintain work place emissions below 5mg/Nm3.

• Recruited for 1 year intensive management trainee program
• Learning of the working culture and the roles of departments within the company
• Learn different managerial and technical concepts useful for the company
• Undergo an outdoor leadership course in Uttarkashi
• Project: To eliminate coal spillage in coal wagon tipplers
