1. Accountable for uptime and availability of 90+ business critical applications spread across Java, PHP, IBM Middleware and COTS products in multiple support frameworks (24X7, 16X7 and 8X5)

5. Make sure incidents are meeting the defined contractual SLA.

6. Prepare SOW in coordination with application SMEs as part of change management process for any major change requests related to new application development as well as enhancement requests to existing applications

7. Hands on involvement in technical/ domain support

Wherever needed, acts as a Subject Matter Expert, applies technical knowledge and industry experience in recommending newer technology practices, system design, infrastructure architecture & management and operational knowledge to help and lead my team

· Providing application support for multiple WAS/Portal environments

· Configuring multiple webservices via IBM data power

· Using JIRA to track issues

· Using Confluence to create documentation

· Using Ansible to push configuration to multiple environments

· Using Oracle Access Manager to create policies, access gate configurations

· Creating SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for WAS/Portal Infrastructure

· Creating RCA documents for critical to very critical Production outages/issues

· Installation, Configuration, Upgrading and troubleshooting the Web Sphere Application Server 6.x, 7.x, 8.x and WebSphere Portal Server 6.x, 7.x, 8.x including the installation of fix packs.

· Performance Tuning WAS and Portal environments

· Installation and Configuration of Oracle Webgate with WebSphere

· Analyzing Thread dumps, Garbage Collection log files and Heap dumps for troubleshooting and RCA.

· Manage and Monitor the JVM performance by adjusting Heap Size, garbage collection and JDBC Connection Pools.

· Designing end to end Portal/WAS infrastructure in coordination with business, application, security, network and database teams

· Leading a team of Middle Engineers spread across different locations

· Creating SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for WAS/Portal Infrastructure

· Creating RCA documents for critical to very critical Production outages/issues

· Creating Best Practices for maintenance of WAS/Portal infrastructure

· Making sure proper Change Management practices followed across the team during maintenance of WAS/Portal infrastructure

· Making sure SLA has been followed across the team for different WAS/Portal infra issues

Installation, Configuration, Upgrading and troubleshooting the Web Sphere Application Server

· Installation, Configuration, Upgrading and troubleshooting the Web Sphere Application Server 6.x, 7.x, and WebSphere Portal Server 6.x, 7.x including the installation of fix packs.

· Migrating WAS and Portal environments from 6.0 to 7.0

· Analyzing Thread dumps, Garbage Collection log files and Heap dumps for troubleshooting and RCA.

· Manage and Monitor the JVM performance by adjusting Heap Size, garbage collection and JDBC Connection Pools.

· Troubleshooting issues such as Out of Memory, 100% CPU Usage, hung Threads, session replication, and JVM Crashes.

· Successful implementation of Workload Management (WLM) using clustering techniques (horizontal and vertical) for fail over and backup/recovery processes.

· Deploy EAR & WAR files on Web Sphere Application Server and WebSphere Portal Server
