Pre layout simulation:

Stack-up design and analysis - Impedance calculations for various combinations of trace width, dielectric material thickness, 

Cross talk analysis - studying the crosstalk parameters (NEXT, FEXT) for key transmission lines such as MSL and SL, Termination analysis - understanding the impact of series termination at the driver output and parallel termination at the received input, Signal Topology analysis - performed time-domain simulations of star and fly-by topologies.

post layout simulation:

Stack-up analysis - layer stack verification by analyzing the impedance in the SIwave tool, Via modeling and simulation - impedance calculation by extracting the TDR response of the transmission line, S-parameter extraction for key nets by defining a port for each net and exporting as an N-Port file.
